I have problem that the minimap isnt showin at all after i launch overwolf and then new world. I see the app in the overlay but still minimap is not shown ;/

My map location takes a while to update and it's not fluid like your map in the video. Are there any settings to make it faster? The shrine locations are also not accurate. I'm on a high end pc with a 300Mbps connection

The new world team said that you can use external minimaps but only to see your position, not to see the resources, that is banned.

Yeah, but there is no problem with sharing your nw location with a website that shows resources. It just can't be part of the overwolf add on.

You're half correct unless I'm misreading you. You CAN see your live location on a map that shows where resources CAN spawn. The ban comes if you use a map that actively shows you what resources ARE spawned/timers ect.

hi, i have problem with filters in minimaps, it says the following : "Filters have been disabled to comply with Amazon ToS. Stream to a browser instead" How to fix it? ((

It means the little minimap won't show the filters, you have to use the "big map" or an external map.

The minimap only updates my player's location once every 4-5 seconds. its not doing it in real time which just makes it look janky and not worth using. I tried closing the game and overwolf (made sure in task manager) and reopening them (opening overwolf first). just does the same thing.

I was using this with the streaming and nothing else but ended up deleting it because the when logging in I received a message that said something like unauthorized program running or something I can remember the exact words. So Im asking the community do you think this was a false hit and I can reinstall?

Ty, that is a great video. But i still have one problem. The Marker that shows my position on the external Map (second monitor) is not moving the "arrow" that shows in which direction i am running. The "arrow" is static, but at least the circle for my position is moving. Any idea?

Hey Slender, I just tested this after watching your video. My NWMM has been broken since Brimstone patch. Did a complete uninstall / reinstall of Overwolf and the NW add-on. It says OCR is disabled, so I tried API. Restarted PC, game, overwolf, in various combinations. Still not working. Overwolf NWMM was working just fine since last year till this patch. Also, I don't have any blockers or anti-virus stuff blocking ports or anything. Any ideas?

@@sl3ndermmo I got the anwer. Last patch crash few files for some people and you need to clear AppData/Local/AGS and “Verify integrity of game files” but ..... now Trading Post is shutdown once again and that I cant fix :P.

The Minimap now has blocked the points of interest from the map IE: Resources, so it doesn't effect New Worlds TOS however you can still have the add-on installed just cant check these boxes :)

I actually had the overwolf map but ended up deleting it because I would have to move it myself for some reason so I didn’t find it all that useful and so I removed it and ever since then I actually don’t have a mini map in New World I like the idea of it though, and wished it worked better for me because it seems very useful but yeah I didn’t have the best experience myself with it. Glad to hear some people are having a good experience with it though

i use aternummap addon for my minimap and use skeleton for the resource good thing about aeternummap addon you can track your resource in your phone :D

But there is a program that allows you to use minimap "in game" with all of the nodes. How it works is the minimap works like overlay and has nothing to do with the game. It scans the top right corner for position and just gives that information to the program/overlay and it updates your location on the minimap.. i've been using in for quite a while (before when I was farming) and had no problems..

The New world Map you like also works, you just have to copy the code from your stream location into it, I'm using it right now.

Yeah I use the external maps too. From the writing in the terms the browser is safer than the mini map. They don't want the game altered. It's working fine. The Discord of the mod devs tell how to get the mail working for people who are having problems.

Some misinformation in this video. Not about the banning stuff, but about addons themselves and the options surrounding them. I loaded up my location on my cell phone and it works. It doesn't work great, but it is very possible. Same can apply to a laptop, or sharing the location to everyone in your group/friends.

You show the post where AGS states it is against terms of service for a mini map to overlay over the game but in the video are showing the overlay version. That version, as you showed on screen, is against the terms of service and is getting players banned if they are using the old versions of it. That is literally why those dev posts were made back in the day (and no they didn't ban back then but certainly have banned since then as people keep using the versions they do not want used).

incorrect, it's against ToS if the minimap were to pull information from the videogame, ie: showing the locations of ore nodes that can be mined, and not showing ore nodes that have already been mined. This is literally no different than using an external map tool to show locations of resources, it's functionally identical. Now it's just in game and not on a browser. Refer to 13:03
