@@dragonkus6934 If I wasnt a Nihility try hard, I likely wouldnt pull him for DOT or Acheron but I started the game with Kafka, grabbed BS, and saved violently for Acheron. And Jiaoqiu is one of the few chars I actually new from the npcs.. Im on a mission to collect every Nihility unit since I saw Acheron so him being viable is definitely a valuable asset

The HSR devs are definitely crazy, CRAZY! They turn a great specialized debuffer into a generic DoT character that isn't even THAT better than his 4* version (Guinaifen) if she's E6 (and don't even get me started on "just use both", that argument is so bad it's almost always cope). The worst: From what's leaked, the rerun on his banner is Black Swan, and I don't even need to tell you, right? Black Swan is infinitely better than him on DoT teams, and Jiaoqiu is definitely not better than Ruan Mei on that team either. The devs are working very hard... to convince us NOT to pull Jiaoqiu. Lol Hoyo nerf his LC, since majority of the people will pull his LC instead of him they changed it to Triggering Unarmored only by DoT so SW and Pela users wouldn't be able to use it lol. They also nerf most of his damage. However, I need to see first if it'll at least do more damage compared to his past kit

dot have enough support already. before he was touted as the biggest acheron support who can heal and give pela amount of dmg amp and later they remove his healing and then he's just pela but give even more damage amp. now he's a mediocre acheron support and even more mediocre dot support. there's only 2 possible explanation for this downgrade, first they just sounding us out and would change his kit for v4 or they will give him for free like ratio so thats why they make his kit have more universal use.

He still has the Vulnerability intact. But his Damage multipliers are horrendous now, all because Ashen Roast is now considered Burn. He's down to a battery for Acheron now. Before, he could be a good sub-DPS, using the Pioneer set and dealing damage. Now, he's only good for applying debuffs to Acheron, as he has no room on the DoT team, his Vulnerability doesn't outweigh Ruan Mei's buffs and Ashen Roast is nowhere near better than Black Swan's Arcana (which is even his Banner's predicted rerun). Other than that, they've given a small nerf to his LC Vulnerability (the Cornered effect is now only 14%, previously 18%) and his A2 Skill has been changed to regenerate 15 Energy at the start of the battle (previously, it reduced enemies' EHR by 30% and enabled Ashen Roast Damage. Since this Damage [now considered DoT] is part of his Talent, they changed it)

Just an addition: Jiaoqiu's LC now also specifies that for the Unarmored state to escalate to Cornered state, the enemy needs to be specifically under the user's DoT effect, no longer a common debuff. So the LC no longer works on characters like Pela and SW.

His pull value decreased a lot after V3. Before with crit gear he was able to do decent sub-dps damage able to clear any remaining mobs making sure Acheron doesn't waste his ult. JQ LC was more universal, it would last longer even after JQ gets power-crept. Technically he can work in dot teams against fire weak element. However, I would rather use Firefly against Fire weak enemies. Usually Fire element comes with Imaginary, I haven't seen Fire together with Wind/Lighting so far. If I were to dot team lighting/wind usually there would be no fire weakness, so JQ would have to be used off element, which is kind of meh. I guess he could used when both sides are weak to fire, dot on one team, Firefly break team on another. However, how often do you expect to have fire weakness on both teams? At this point I'm considering getting Acheron to E2 from E0 instead. This would allow me to invest more into Sparkle, more useful in general.

Before the change, the CRIT just whatever bruh. It's not like he's going to CRIT every time. Unless you put CRIT body on him, but that also means you need to find 43% Effect Hit Rate from substats while also get SPD. That's just not viable, lol. This change just change how he deals damage, from upfront damage to more back-loaded. Losing a personal damage for more team viability sounds like a buff for me

@@pwsy I did calculations. It was enough to put EHR body and with his LC/traces you would only need 1 EHR substat. With pioner/izumo and 20 crit chance/crit damage substats you could get to 70/140 CC/CD. You would literary put the same artifacts you farm from Acheron focusing on crit.

@@sarettodn5708Yes, his new kit with energy regen allows him to ult immediately when battle starts. It's nice for sure. He isn't bad character, but he is not a must pull either for me. E0S1 JQ for sure would be better than my E0S0 SW, but without JQ sig LC I wouldn't consider pulling for him because pearl LC is used on Pela already. JQ sig LC lost it's value due to nerf, so whole package downgraded from must pull to indifferent status for my current account.

Honestly him being dot AND debuff, is a good change. People were clamoring for his E2 to be in his base kit and honestly, all they did was drop his burst dmg. The initial burst from his Ult and Skill is less, but adding dots to him that can combine with Black Swan, Kafka, the new Dot set AND adding in his vulnerability can just skyrocket his potential. I love it honeslty. I won't use him in dots but the fact that he even has this definitely increases his niche

He is still mid and he just doesn't feel right in a DoT team, He is good for DoT but not better than the current supports and damage dealers we have right now and if u don't have them, Guinafen is basically Jiaoqiu but has slightly less amount of debuffs in her kit and for Acheron, Just use Pela. It just seems like he already had his role done by other characters that don't need as much investment and even then he is barely a upgrade to them
