I've been really happy with the new update, but watching this video made me really sad and frustrated for you. I did notice the issue with no longer being able to buy craftibles, but I didn't realize there was a full-game object limit in place. More than any other KZbinr covering DDV, your design style has heavily influenced the way in which I am decorating my own valley, and I've come to anticipate new videos from you to get some inspiration for ways in which I could make my valley prettier and more pleasing to explore. I hope this doesn't discourage you too much, and I also hope we may perhaps see some alterations to the game before leaving Early Access that give a greater range for design and creativity. I'm so sorry you are frustrated. Your decor design style is very beautiful, so it's easy to understand why you're feeling stymied. It will be interesting to hear what Gameloft support says in response. As for being unable to purchase crafted items, it's going to mean a lot more work. I'm just glad I hoarded materials and bought tons of lights before this shocker of a change hit. Wish I could send you some Topaz. Maybe someday we'll be able to sell/swap goods? I enjoy your content enormously; I'll watch more vids if you keep creating them.

I'm now annoyed, I'm too lazy to craft so I was happy that I could buy craftables and with only getting little amount of time to play this is frustrating 😒 but on a positive note I do love your decorating style, when I get to doing mine I want to incorporate it a bit in to mine 😍

I am frustrated about not being able to buy craftable items from Scrooge too. I didn't stock up on most items before the update so I have to craft almost everything. The amount of mining I have to do now is crazy. I wasn't aware of the item limit. I hope that is a glitch as well because once hit, there's not much else to do.

While I’m aware that you’ve paid for this game, it’s an upcoming free to play game. I hate the path the gaming industry is taking with free to play, in-game purchasing games. I have a feeling this game is headed that way. I really wish it was a completed, full game at a certain price with paid for DLCs. At any rate, this game is still in its toddler stage and they are likely feeling all this out. That’s another thing the gaming industry is doing that irks me; having a wide test pool of testers that are not being compensated. Heck, we are paying to test it. 😂 It’s still a lot of fun. Hopefully, they fix this item limit issue. ❤ I was looking forward to decorating too.

I love all your natural builds! I just finished a pool area for Remy’s Hotel (I made his house a pretend hotel lol) and now I want to tear it all down and do more earthy stuff lol. As for not being able to buy craftable… this may be the unpopular opinion hehe but I actually kinda like it. I found once I built everything once I just bought the rest and foraging and crafting became obsolete for me. A useless feature until the game updates with new craftables. With pumpkin gardening I have more money than I know what to do with so I just bought extras of all my craftables. For me, I find not being able to buy craftable items gives me an opportunity to explore the world I’ve built and begin foraging and engaging it that aspect of the game vs just decorating once I’ve completed all the quests. I hope your item count gets fixed. I’m playing on switch and I haven’t encountered this problem. But I do hope we get more than 600 in game item max bc I could use that in one area lol. But I think we will eventually. I think it’s going to come in stages. Haha we all tried to be pumpkin kings with our 100s and 100s of pumpkins and that was a disaster (at least on switch). So I think they need to work some things out before they let us place unlimited items. The game would probably freeze and crash 😂😝. Not that mine doesn’t do that now bc it does lol. But DLV has my heart. Loving it so far! Keep up all the great work on your videos! I enjoy seeing what you create! ❤

I totally understand why they stopped scrooge to be able to sell craftables.. If a item is meant to be crafted you shouldn't be able to buy it, to be honest I was a bit sick of just hearing people talk about pumpkins and making a fortune and that was all the game play.. I understand that can be frustrating, specially because they start by allowing everything to be bought, people got used to that and now they just change it. But for me it makes more sense, it gives a propose to all the other things you can collect. I didn't start to decorate, so when I do I can wish that those items could be purchase, but it doesn't mean that I don't think it makes sense. The object count I found really weird, I understand that it has to be a limite, the game has to run smoothly with the minimal specifications they required to purchase, but if you can place 600 items don't put that written there, that is misleading, people are decorating having that limit in to account, and now they are half way done and discover that number is wrong, that shouldn't happen, I totally understand your frustration, you have the right to be upset.. I hope you get a clear answer from them, maybe is a bug or something they are still working on. And to finish just want to say that I like what you're doing with your village, is different from the most that I've been seeing (that normally are quite similar), good job! Hope you can continue to decorate soon.

tbh Im glad someone else has brought up the points you have. Im new to watching videos on this game and I do love it but I just realized you cant buy craftables now and I never got a chance to even buy them in the first place. Im rather disappointed and from what i saw no one has actually made a big comment on it from what Ive seen. I hope it gets reversed but we shall see. thank you for sharing your thoughts on the opinion

So, garden holes with plants count toward the item limit?! I am on switch, I guess it's a plus my system can't handle more than 50-60 plants at a time 😶🤦‍♀️ I do understand the frustration about not being able to buy craftables, but you're right, it does kind of make more sense. I honestly don't think they ever intended for us to be able to do that, I just think they hadn't separated it yet in the catalog. For me, I'm not that frustrated because I like that it gives me something to look forward to and work towards. I know not everyone feels that way though lol. I am going so slow, I can't stop harvesting and gathering so to make sure I won't have to wait & gather things for quests. So I have only opened my beach and invited wall-e. And I wanted to decorate as I go cuz I couldn't stand the way the stuff was initially laid out, I had to fix it before I could proceed. Mickey kept mocking me saying, "I wish all my friends could see this place!" And it looked terrible haha I really love your videos, I look forward to them. It will be a real shame if you have to change your original design to accommodate the item count, your valley really stands out among the rest to me. I’m really hoping the limit is just a early release thing so they can work a few bugs at a time. The limit doesn’t make sense considering the amount of space given. This game seems to revolve around decorating as much as quests so I’m going to keep up hope the limit will be raised or done away with all together as we get closer to the full release.

I play on the switch and haven’t experienced near the problems other players have. I don’t notice much of a lag and while my game does crash it’s usually after I’ve been playing for a couple of hours without saving manually. I did have problems with controls in decorating mode since the update but it was more because I think they changed them than them not working. I also find it hard to rotate motifs but I don’t design clothes often because I don’t care for the styles available so it doesn’t really affect my gameplay much.

i'm so frustrated with this object limit, I've tried so many different things and harvested all my items and still stuck at about 360 items and I can't put anything down unless I pick things up. I love your builds! Inspired my Plaza! But I'm really losing interest because I can no longer make this my own personal spaces.

This update has caused my game to freeze so often it's practically unplayable. Also, do we know if they purposefully made us craft multiples? Because some of those items (iron) takes so much it's crazy.

Aww thanks! I really appreciate it. I've had no motivation to play since there's nothing for me to do currently. Can't decorate, could only farm and at that point I may as well play another game because farming for materials for decorations is useless 😢

I’m so annoyed that they didn’t fix this in the update but I’m confident they will soon in the future. I think they may be limiting it rn bc it’s early access and they are trying to control the lag issues.

I literally didnt even know you could buy craftables from scrooge until after this update. I was so excited and then saw that oh.. you cant anymore. cool lol

This new update has caused my game to continuously crash. I also can't complete Minnie's quest because the flowers in the forest aren't spawning 😭 the game was working fine before the update. (I was late to starting to the game that's why my characters aren't max level)

I’m still collecting dry wood for the gazebo 😢 now I will still have to continue collecting… if I want more 🥺🥺 it’ll be forever collecting then… Anyway I hope they will fix it for u soon! Because your decorating style inspire me!

So trees and bushes that are placed in their proper biome don’t count towards the item limit. If you use the right trees and bushes then you can use more items to decorate with ❤

I think this is false, if you have one of any item down you can place unlimited counts of that item. Until apparently you hit a ghost item limit, which is what I hit.

man this was a bummer to see. Im glad you cleared up the update no longer being able to buy craftables as I am a new player and was wondering why it wasnt working for me. I just finished all in game content so was excited to start building but seeing your island incomplete and hearing about the ghost limit might actually deter me from continuing. I appreciate your videos. Also if devs do look here for feedback (heres wishing): If you can no longer buy crafted items from scrooge plz nerf the amount of resources needed to craft. iron and hardwood are so few especially when 1 gazebo is 100 iron ingots.

yes i was so mad when I realized I couldnt buy craftables. I feel like scrooges catalog is usless now. PLUS being able to buy things you've crafted helps the economy imo. I'm going to have a ton of star coins and nothing to spend them on. This gives me a reason to buy things which gives me a reason to make more money aka continue playing so I can grind

OH YOU POOR WOMEN. I CAN TELL YOU LOVE THIS GAME A LOT. AND ARE FEELING HURT. I JUST STARTED THIS GAME. GOT IT FOR XMAS PRESENT. THIS MAKES ME WONDER IF THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR PLAYERS. I'M ADDECTED TO THIS GAME ( SPEND 5 HOURS AND ABOVE ) AND HAVEN'T BEEN ON ANIMAL CROSSING MUCH . BUT NOW I FEEL , I'M GOING TO STAY FATHFUL AND GOING BACK AND SPEND MORE TIME IN ANIMAL CROSSING. Mines the same I’m at 284 and deleted more to 274 and still says I’m at my limit and I can’t finish scars quests… I feel that with 8 biomes there shouldn’t be a limit.. I love this game just wish there wasn’t a limit… haven’t heard back from them yet… but I even deleted and can’t do anything :(

There's a hidden item limit of 3000 that counts every single item, from flowers to rocks to dug holes...
