Hello from Brazil. Here the iRobot Solution isn’t available (never were) so they allow to use Bona instead. The new pad looks good as previous Brava, in my opinion the 380t cleans better then m6 maybe because of the pads. Good review, tks.

I have a j7+ and an M6 they do share their maps. Now I mapped/cleaned 3 times with my j7 before I mopped with the M6. I also dilute the Bona with water, but I guess I do not have too. For some reason I thought you did.

Same here. We only put in 1 oz per tank. Ours mops 3 times a week. So that 3/4 gal bottle last us 6 months. We haven’t had any problems doing it that way for 2 1/2 years now. That with a shark robot vacuum that runs every day and 3 large dogs and 2 cats we have been very impressed with the job it does. We do have to CLR soak that little screen the tank sits on every month to keep mineral deposits from the water from clogging it up but that’s easy.

I have the shark vaccum that empties and I am not impressed its a dumb vac it keeps running into things and will even push them. It has banged into the bottom of my kitchen cabinets so much its got the pain rubbing off. It does have the magnetic strips and works good not crossing them. I have a multi pet home so about every other time even through it has the auto empty I have to unclog it.

I love Bona, makes my floor shine but as much as I use my M6, it can get expensive. Amazon as of today has the Bona Hardwood cleaner 128 oz for $20 tax included. What other solutions are acceptable that are not so expensive but give nice results?

It recommended to use iRobot solution since harsh chemicals could cause permanent damage. Mild solutions should be ok.

We just put 1 oz of BONA in with a plastic easy pour measuring cup. We run ours with reusable pads 3 times a week in a house with 3 large dogs and 2 cats. It covers about 1200 sq ft. Only thing we have to do is pull out that little screen that the tank sits on and soak it with a little CLR spray and let it soak for 10 min then rinse. We have hard water so we do this about every month.

The mopping pads are included when you buy the Bona Solution. They may sell them separately later on.

They can share maps but they don't talk about this. Once you have any map on your m6 you have to factory reset and uncheck the save to cloud box. Then reconnect it blank. Then use your S9 or j7 to map the home. Once you have a really good map with the vacuum you go into the m6 on the app and select map. There is a second option there (only when it's fresh and no maps, doesn't work if you just delete the map you must factory reset and not try and map). Then when you click map on m6 there's a second option to import. You can choose m6 from cloud or from your compatible Roomba S9 or j7 I know for sure work. As long as bases are next to eachother it has zero issues. I'm sure if you had it like he does across from it it will figure it out in time. But the m6 allows you to mark thresholds after you have a map. Makes it tough when building a map. Once you import, before running go in and mark thresholds in customize and it will ignore it's tilt/rub sensing in that spot and get over thresholds as long as they're low enough not to hit the bumper sensor. Mapping with my m6 was a nightmare because of thresholds. But importing made it awesome. Still does a bit of learning as it runs some cleaning runs but awesome to have full map right away.

I could not get this to work, unfortunately. Did MULTIPLE factory resets of my M6 (brand new, so didn't have any saved maps) and even did a couple with my i8+ (saved map to cloud beforehand) and nothing. And I read just about every Reddit and KZbin comment about it and still no luck. Super frustrating too bc the M6 would not stop going halfway across my carpeted living room (which it would also add to the map...). Ultimately had to set out the virtual barrier that came with my i8 to keep the M6 from running across the carpet. Ridiculous that I even had to do that!

It can go over very small thresholds. The way the mopping is up front it hard for the robot to go over anything other than smooth surfaces

I think it depends on what mopping setting you have set to. For the quick mopping setting I noticed streaking, for the deep cleaning, I didn’t notice any.

As of Feb., 2023: You can buy the diluted Bona, but you are paying for shipping the water in the solution. It's much cheaper to buy the Bona concentrate. You add a bit to the water in your tank, and this is much more cost effective and lasts much longer.

Do u use yours on hardwood or tiles. I gave up on the braava jet until I started using it with the Bona tile solution. Even with the solution for the iRobot my floors were left with a lot of streaks. I have tried everything. The only thing that leaves my tiles without streaks and shiny is the Bona solution

Here what I found works, take a Qtip and use rubbing alcohol to wipe around the spray nozzle. Fill the tank with water and start the mopping robot, you should hear the pump running for a few seconds. Stop the robot and end cleaning job. Start the robot again, and repeat this process, it should start spraying since the pump is getting primed.

Ours is always that little screen that the tank sits on gets clogged with minerals. We pull out our once a month and put in a shot glass and spray it with CLR and let it soak for 10 min and then rinse. We also only put 1oz of BONA in the tank and the rest just tap water. Has done great for us for 2 1/2 years. Plus that BONA 3/4 gal jug last us 6 months.

From what I observed no. My recommendation is to take a mild cleaning solution and pre spray the floors prior to running the robot. Let the cleaning solution soak for 5 minutes than run the robot on the deep cleaning mode.

@@venusprince I think they have spray on floor cleaner from Bona. I would just follow the instructions for the robot part. If you are using the official Bona solution from iRobot than use the solution itself no water needed.
