Don't forget to double wind on the Makina 670. (fellow 670 owner) And ALWAYS have the focus set to infinity when opening the bellows out. It will save your meter wiring & bellows. They are expensive to service & CLA, but the best travel 6x7 medium format camera. That Nikkor lens is amazingly sharp.

Recently bought the 55mm SMC Takumar lenses for the 67, and honestly speaking I like it more than my 105 2.4 for the shooting style that I'm going for (landscape and street, this lens is super duper fun for street photography hahaha) 105 is still a godly lens, but yeah, the 55 is such a beast
@xjamesramos4 жыл бұрын
I've owned both. For some reason I've aways left the 105mm on. Maybe because the lens is slightly smaller and I was so use to using the 105 for that depth of field. The 55mm is still a great lens.

i think that a cool thing about a video explaining your scanning/editing process would be making a specific point about scanning 35mm with flatbed scanners, i couldn't find any good videos about that, moreover everyone seems to have his own technique. i still find it difficult to get satisfactory results using flatbed scanners and 35mm so i would gladly let the breadth of your knowledge enlighten us especially on the sharpness issue. really looking forward the pottery thing tho and also you should make a video on how to get your highly impressive and style-filled haircut

I have the Takumar 55mm f/3.5 for my 6x7 and it does it’s job for the most part. Sometimes I feel like it’s too wide for my taste, but that’s the lens that came w/ the body. I was able to trick it out with a lens hood and focus ring soooo that’s something or whatever

I bought a Makina W67 in May 2020 to fight off the lockdown blues. It became my most used medium format camera leading to my Mamiya 6 & 7, the 500 c/m, Pentax 67 and even the mighty Fuji GW670 being benched. It took me longer than it should to get used to the focusing method on the dial surrounding the shutter release but otherwise it’s a perfect travel medium format camera.

In the diffusion filter part you mentioned the Kodak 500T stock. There's a german company called silbersalz35 that creates 35mm cartridges of actual kodak cinefilm (like the 500T). Maybe that's something that could be interesting for you :)
