Eating whole foods and good fats (butter and ghee is actually good for you) helps your body to function optimally. Nothing bad will happen to your health as long you are active, eating healthily and hydrated. If you experience muscular aches/pains, feel anxiety and stress, then Magnesium Bisglycinate (aka Magnesium Glycinate) is the best thing to take after a meal (lunch or dinner). Hi! I am a former Montrealer with a green card that lived and worked in Los Angeles for 25 years. I now live in Vancouver and recently retired early. During my 5 year wait to become a citizen… I changed my mind thinking that any national crisis that could happen… I had the option to return to Canada. The only thing one can’t do with the green card status is vote - not much of a big deal. Meanwhile I collect Social Security, you keep your SS# for life but most importantly I do not pay taxes on the SS I receive - a rule the US govt has with countries they have diplomatic ties with. If the USA let’s you stay dual, via the immigrant route, then you would be paying taxes in both countries for life. If I had stayed in the USA with my green card… my situation would be reversed - paying taxes in the USA but not taxed on my Canadian Pension. I highly recommend you get your green card instead of immigrating. Once you are about to get the green card… you would have to go to Canada and re-enter the USA because US Customs at the Canadian airport does your initial process that let’s you not only enter the USA (not as a tourist) but permits you to go ahead, which I did 24hrs later, and go apply for your SS# card and are given a temporary one in order to work right away (as the card takes 3 months to receive) but I don’t know your situation, since after the usual standard 9 years wait… you were given the status to do certain jobs in the meantime or not? I went through a national crisis that lasted several years and I was glad I had the option to return to 🇨🇦. I friends who had to renounce their citizenship and regretted it. You can be married/divorced and still stay with your green card status your whole life which is my sister’s case and she has American now adult children. No country is perfect for sure but again having an option is GOLD. I collect 2 pensions and only taxed for the Canadian one. Good luck! I hope I have enlightened you some. 😊

Better than waiting 6 months in the UK for a simple procedure or even scan result. The tax system in the US is so favorable and cheap i would rather pay out of pocket for world class health in the US than pay 50% tax in the UK. The amount of money i save every year on tax living in the US would cover 5 heart operations a year. In the UK what on earth do you actually get for your tax contributions......oh yeah lots of people who don't want to work with Sky TV and full fridges.

Summer you had mentioned that you messed up your shoulder riding the horse. That could have possibly contributed to your neck pain. If you're still experiencing pain I would try a chiropractor. I'be been going to one for years and it's amazing what they can do.

You need sheer curtains for your office will protect your plants from burns. Glad you are settling in nicely maybe a faux bonsai for your shelf we won't tell anyone. You aren't alone in killing off plants trust me ;) I am not as busy as you have been it still happens. I hope everything is ok with you Summer sure it will be fine ouch a dislocated shoulder hurts for a while I know from experience. The new table is better than the other you had before. Be careful in Texas you two. Hello Matt and Summer, didnt really catch what was wrong with your neck but hope you're betterr. Something to think about when you guys are traveling all over what do you do for health care? Since you're both so fit it's an after thought. But hope you were able to get the care you needed here in the US because it's a problem for many who don't have the means. And being self employed it's a challenge I'm sure. You're both looking fit tho especially Matt and your guns. Keep us informed of your adventures many of us are living vacariously through you two. If your employer doesn’t contribute to your health insurance, a policy that is decent is over 1k per month. That policy won’t cover everything. It’s ridiculous and without insurance you can end up owing hundreds of thousands dollars if you are hospitalized. It’s absolutely insane! Good luck to you both ❤

It's a mixed bag really. Some healthcare facilities in states are not to a good standard and not developed. Others are pretty good such as in MA. There is no place that is perfect though.

@@mattandsummer at least you had insurance. someone i knew didn't have insurance and their surgery plus ER visit was 60,000 dollars and it wasn't even that risky of a surgery. i got the same surgery and i paid 5500, my out of pocket maximum for the year. and luckily i have insurance through work and my work covers most of the premiums, other people aren't so lucky and have extremely high monthly premiums. my work covers almost 600 dollars a month in health insurance premiums for just me. health insurance premiums in this country can be extremely expensive and the care isn't always that great and on top of that, there could still is an out of pocket maximum.
