Never underestimate what a powerful effect the presence of a legend like Yadi can have on a team of young players.

I think I would want Skip as the Manager. Yadi as the bench coach. Albert hitting/first base. And Descalso as the 3rd base coach.
@icaleinns62332 ай бұрын
My pick for manager is Albert, hands down. Anyone who was smart enough as a young player to spend tons of time with TLR learning the ins and outs of managing has my vote. And he has the Albert effect: he walks into a room and everyone immediately hushes and says "Hey! That's Albert Pujols!"

Im mad they got rid of Tje Morning Drive. Used to listen every morning before work. Loved hearing danny mac everyday

Agreed. I only listened when I was in town, but I've heard enough of Kilcoyne and McKernan. 101 ESPN management can "get bent."

Yadi was born to be an MLB manager. Obviously Skip is great, Albert could be great, but my judgment is that Yadi just has this in his bones.

Taxi was the “manager on the fields” for several years. I would like to see him as manager and Albert as hitting coach.

We never heard about Yadi because the St Louis Media didn’t pursue it or hold anyone accountable. They don’t need direct details just lay out a PR response. The underlying issue of lack of communication or ownership of the situation showcasing the root cause issue in the front office. Pompous attitude and indifference to outcomes.

Was Robertson/Santos in the Mookie Betts trade, too? When we trade, we need to get a better deal. I wanted Chris Sale for O'Neill, but no....

Yep, Robertson/Santos for O'Neill was the deal... Robertson is gone, Santos was at Memphis

Random question, who was the pitcher who wasn't listening to Yadi so he got pulled and then got yelled at in the dugout, then was DFA'd like 1 or 2 days later?

I’m becoming skeptical of the info coming out of the front office and parroted by Goold and some of the other locals. There is at least a sense of lack of transparency if not more.

Yadi will probably handle the pitching staff better than Albert and pitching is the key to winning.

Wait whattt? Whens this happening? Anyways im looking for a mention of a partially retractable roof which is cheaper. Its getting hotter by the year to the point its not enjoyable to sit and sweat. We are hotter than The braves and Houston..Rangers have roofs..playing 81 games in this heat with extreme humidity in Stlouis can take its toll on our players. Time to make it happen now ⚾️🏆

If you don’t have a winning team in the next few years, a closer wouldn’t really be necessary, besides he wouldn’t get a lot of chances

Hope it is over tonight I wanted the Yankees to win I just could not root for the dodgers but that said trades and free agency starts 5 days after it is over
@BluesImprov2 ай бұрын
As much as I don't like the Dodgers, please, don't EVER root for the Yankees. Yankee fans are the worst because a huge percentage of them are just "bandwagon" fans. They wear Yankee gear only because they see so-called celebrities walking around wearing it, and so they do too. Then they proudly proclaim themselves as Yankee "fans." Many of those "fans" don't care about baseball, they just want to be "fashionable." And the mainstream media was absolutely drooling over this match-up. They claim the whole country "wanted" to see this! That's why I'm glad that, other than Freddie Freeman, it hasn't really been a great World Series. The almighty Yankees have barely shown up. So, sorry media "stars", you were wrong. The whole country wasn't begging to see this, and it hasn't been the great match-up you predicted it would be. I'm a lifelong Cardinals fan, and although it's too bad Tommy Edman will get a ring as a Dodger and not a Cardinal, I'll still say, "Go Dodgers. . .SWEEP those Yanks!"
@BillDownton2 ай бұрын
@@BluesImprov I didn't want either one but I feel the same about dodgers the same as the Patriots in the NFL
@davidcobler57052 ай бұрын
Hey JD; I’m happy for Edman. He’s just a dang good ball player and he seems to thrive in the playoffs. Yankees came into the series cold and the Dodgers were hot. Two guys hitting in a lineup does not compute to winning baseball. The Dodgers look like champs!

Yadi can get a little taste of managing at home, and then when Mo is finally gone after 2025, maybe then Yadi will take over. I really think he didn't want to manage under Mo because he's not interested in being a yes man.
@ScottyPeabody2 ай бұрын
I’m so tired of the way the Cards deliver this kind of information. Read where gate revenue was down 11.5% so yeah, makes no FKN SENSE TO DROP payroll by 33%. And Mozeliak is still here for some reason, because the DeWitts might be great real estate developers but they don’t get Cards fans at all.

So tired of hearing about yadi. Wish he was behind the plate in his prime but, give me Schumacher as the manager.
@rayrussell62582 ай бұрын
Brooms? 🧹🧹🧹🧹 I'll not be upset if the Yankees get swept. The Dodgers would really have to thank Mozeliak's lackluster deal-making for winning them the World Series. "None of the above" on your Manager question, JD. I think Pujols would be an excellent replacement .... but for Bloom, in the front office. I have no confidence in Bloom, after the dismal job he did in Boston. Molina I support being the next pitching coach in StL, if the starting pitching doesn't improve in 2025. Marmol is the Cardinal's Manager, and has done an excellent job, in spite of the rosters Mo gave him. Schumacher makes sense to me taking over the Seattle Mariners for 2025. I haven't heard if they made their temporary Manager the full-time Manager yet. If not, they should hire Skip.
