So was I, given that it's an SSD, but most of the let's-plays I've seen have sacked Isard ASAP in order to get to era 2 or 3 (depending on the version) ASAP - and I figured that 1) that hasn't changed and 2) the best way to get rid of an SSD is to throw it at another one given that persistent damage is now a thing.

@@julius7643 Tbh sticking with pestage as long as possible is really the best option. You can get KDY up and running and enhance your defences in the core with Pestages -25% cost.

Wouldn't twelve "weeks" per year be too fast? It took me like 60 weeks to recreate first year of NR conquests, what makes sense.

Think about what the year changing actually impacts, and the timeline of the mod. To get to 44 ABY, that's still 480 weeks, and it primarily impacts unlocks for research and characters. If the years were individually longer (let's use your example of 60 weeks) sure you may get to reach Coruscant in 4 ABY, but that probably means you've taken half the galaxy, and you wouldn't get to even the first set of research until about week 300, or the Solo twins unlocking until week 1260.

As per the video topic, regime changes are not tied to years. They are based on the Empire's choices and the actual progression of the game.

The only concern I'd have is that the Vong could invade before the player has a sufficient economic base to do anything other than be steamrolled by them, but given how the team typically balances the mod I'm sure it'll all work out anyways. Looking forward to the changes!

The Vong invasion isn't an event that would happen in a set week. Even if it did, that would be week 252.

For any one looking to destroy a viscount star defender here is my formula that can work sometimes: 1: have eclipse and a big fleet 600 pop is enough. 2: dived your capitals in front and at the back of the viscount 3: numbers will go down DEPLOY THE ECLIPSE (only front or back) 4:use super laser and the viscount might have reached low health you shall finish it with the eclipse's arsenal and if that doesn't work at least you made sure the republic will need to pray for the wallet.

I beat a Viscount as the Pentastar Alignment by surrounding it with Imperial Star Destroyers and Tagge Battlecruisers.

Choosing Isard costs the same as Hissa in the video, does that mean that the heroes you get from choosing Hissa will be equivalent to getting the Lusankya, or that Isard will no longer start with it and that you will need to buy it up after picking Isard?

Hi Corey. I commented on one of your videos like a month ago, but the issue still stands that after era 2 of TR it starts crashing and any save just crashes the game. I have put it in bug reports in your discord but nothing has been done and it doesn't look like its been noticed. Would appreciate it if you or anyone else know a fix because I cant get through any campaign without this issue destroying it.

No idea why you would be regularly crashing in era 2. Some players have reported save issues, but it's not an easy thing for us to be able to recreate to be able to test fixes for, so it's not something we have a direct fix for.

This is a bit of a ways off, but how do you intend to handle the LotF/FotJ era? At that time the Republic is the GFFA and the second galactic civil war basically splits things into a bunch of different factions. For example both the Jedi and the Mandalorians play major roles and multiple factions get tied up with Jacen, so New Republic progression at this time could be quite strange.

Yeah, but they also had a 3 week new years celebration on top of that, and the vast majority of the playrbase lives in a place where 12 months is more familiar than 10 35 day months and a super long party.

While the other changes sound neat, I don't think shortening time progression is as good an idea as you think. With how slow resource generation can be, it can take a long time to get the funds to do anything significant, and I think with events being tied to time, many players won't even be able to engage with them due to aforementioned resource reasons.

@@CoreyLoses To be honest, there are a number of others saying similar things concerning time changes. Either there is a miscommunication, or a potential disconnect with the community's thoughts on this.

Largely it's people making assumptions about what that would include and not really thinking about what events are actually there, or how fast this actually makes any of it. Especially when there was no such thing as years before, so it's not a change in speed for anything at all. For example, which events do you have in mind that would be too fast or rushed? Keep in mind, regimes are the biggest events in the current setup, but they're not automatic based on years.

They no longer support it because the complex scripting cannot be used in a multiplayer setting, and since you'd essentially be playing a vanilla MP campaign with some unit skins and changed stats you're better off just doing that then having the team waste dev time on such a concept.

Skirmish works as it is, but EaW MP isn't the most reliable and there's nothing we can do about that. If you mean GC, it's not a feature we support. Most of the mod''s content would have to be completely rebuilt without most of how it works in order to support the mode at all.
