Updating injector trim codes on a Duramax using a Tech 2

Use this guide when programming your injector trim rates for a mechanical balanced set of injectors. LBZ/LMM+ require you to update the injector trim codes any time you replace injectors.

When is programming the injectors like this utilized? Any advantage to programming the flow rate like this as opposed to the number stamped on the injector?

Oversized injectors are mechanically balanced so the Bosch algorithm for balancing a stock set needs to be bypassed.

Each injector is mechanically different in how much fuel is at flow rate compared to spec, each injector goes through flow rate balancing, that code is the flow rate to each individual and specific injector to put it closer to what spec would be considered, the procedure this video is recommending is not recommended on any dealer platforms or from any performance mechanics, you put in each number to set the flow rate accordingly to create a balanced flow to what would be considered spec to what each one was machined to.

The balance rate closest to 0 indicates a bad injector? Do I use the data display info. as an option over doing an injector balance test for each?

Thanks dude. Have you used this to diagnose shorts? My LMM keeps charging above the normal 13.8-.9 volts fresh alternator but nothing also tends to kind of die overnight usually starts after the motor clicks a couple of times but starts and drives normal 🤦🏻‍♂️
