I just found your channel and I have an update for your update to consider. I made a similar box but focused on the brake circuit volts and amps but found the some new ITBC controllers are smart and don't always give a brake output unless running or moving etc. ? (insert comments here) but using my version of the box and only connected to the trailer I added a selector switch that takes the trailer charge line and then thru a momentary contact button and you can use the trailer battery to test volts and amps trailer only. This is easy to go to a rig (think a rally) and test the wiring and magnets w/o adding the TV. But mine will function with TV also. Very nice box. I'll watch more later. What brand 7 way plug has that compression strain relief? Gary

Saturday, I will be releasing a video for the construction of v1.5 of the test set. Ver 1.5 is not a replacement, but rather a different product. It can be used stand alone or in conjunction with v1.0 (the one you are commenting on). V1.5 essentially replaces the tow vehicle with switches for the brakes, tail lights, turn signals, and backup. I am also working on ver 2.0, which basically combines ver 1.0 and 1.5 in the same box. Look for that video in a month or two. I am not at my computer right now, but on my webdite (RV-Project.com) I have a bill of materials for all of the components I used for the projects. The parts are also sometimes listed in the video description for those that dont want to go to my website.

When I built mine, I bought a 7-pin "pigtail" for the cable. A pigtail is a length of cable with one end having a connector, and the other end being free. I simply cut off 2ft from the free end of the cable, which gave me the wire needed for the project. The parts list for the project is here: www.rv-project.com/repairs/breakout.php Unfortunately, in today's environment, shortages are common, and I noticed that the pigtail is no longer available, so I did update the parts list with one that is available.

Why do you place back to back long text screens up rather than having you talk to the camera? Also. Cute little Milwaukee powered cutter toy. Actually, I'd personally use my Greenlee wire cutter to chop that cable like butter...

Have you ever seen bullet points in a presentation? Kind of like that. Besides, you won't want to see my ugly mug on the screen.
