It is just for navigation data - it updates the outdated roads and routes on the system.

How do you make the letters go from CAPITAL, to Non Capital? I'm trying to login to the Live Services bit, but the keyboard wont change the from caps, to non caps. Preventing me from logging in.

My Carminat has lost all connection with radio and Bluetooth since update. Any ideas on how to resolve this? The radio still works but you can no longer see the radio station details etc on the screen.

TomTom Support Videos we just bought a 2012 Clio which didn't have an SD card in the Sat nav. Can I just use TomTom Home to create a new card or is it more complicated than that?

Hi there, If your built-in navigation device does not use an SD card, then it's not a TomTom Carminat. I'd recommend checking the manual and/or Renault website: easyconnect.renault.co.uk/ Hope this helps!

@TomTom Support it does use SD, but didn't have one present. I tried going to their site and downloading their data but it didn't work. Guessing it's obsolete

There's no option that says "Update my Carminat TomTom" also WIndows wants me to delete the SD Card first, before I can access it

I had this problem until I realised that my SD card was locked. Unlock it and TomTom home will then be able to see it and give you the update option.

USELESS!!! i just tried to update my map and buy a new map for my Carminat, then it just says Loading on the screen and never gets off of that!!! i have uninstalled and reinstalled TomTom Home and nope!! still wont get past the loading screen when i click on update maps!! why is your software absolutely garbage!?! why doesn't anything ever work?

If so, after it has been installed, you need to swap back to your original card (where your map should remain unchanged) to continue using your Carminat.
