One of my best stories of me being passive aggressive: This was in my freshman year in high school, and I was known at the time as the one who always went above and beyond to get all my work done well. Anyway, my teacher has us do a game of jeopardy to review for a big test, pretty sure it was on the Odyssey, and since groups were chosen randomly I got put with the people who constantly slacked off. The prize for winning first place was five extra credit points, which might have made the difference between them passing or failing the class so at first I tried to be nice, which led to me answering every single question. It was annoying but I liked showing off at that point so I didn't mind so much, until one of my team members gave me shit for getting an answer wrong. Deciding to show them why it's a bad idea to mess with the smart person when they're trying to help you, I got out my book and read for the rest of the time we were playing and let them crash and burn. Sometimes they'd ask me if I knew the answer and I'd just tell them I did, and then go back to my book. TLDR; slackers got mad at me when I got a question wrong on a jeopardy review game for a quiz so I left them to fend for themselves

What gets me about the hoarders one is like…the lady got passive-aggressive about them throwing out the bowl because her late mom had made it and she wouldn’t be able to get a new one. But obviously she didn’t care that much about it to begin with or she wouldn’t have left it in a pile of TRASH.

About 20 years ago, I had just started vocational school. On my first day, I had come down with the worst case of the flu 🤧. Couldn't hear, coughing up my lungs practically and my professor wasn't having it. She told me that I was disrupting class and to go home and get better. As I'm leaving she says, "you are never going to make it, you will fail". Cried all the way to the doctor's office. Fast forward to graduation 🎓 day. I'm valedictorian and as I'm reading my speech, I started off with, "I was told I would fail,...etc". Her look? Priceless!🤣🤣

About bringing food to work: That's a surefire way to know if people like you or not, if they eat your food. Also, if no one says bless you when you sneeze, or nobody talks sports with you even though you wear the same sports jersey as other employees.

Because of my anxiety and autism I got to school by bus, it was payed by an organisation. So, there were me and two other kids in the cab, and one of them and I wanted to talk about Star Wars. The driver we had during that time hated everything that wasn't completely realistic, and forbid us to talk about Star Wars and told us: There is no Star Wars allowed in this car, so I took a star wars novel with me the next day and read it during the drive... notice, that was before I owned over forty star wars novel, so I really went out of my way to do that...

I used to work security on midnight shift. There was a rivalry between two guards. One worked days and was the shift leader, the other was a midnight guard. The day shift leader was a real c-word. She made it her personal mission in life to make this one midnight guards life a living hell. The midnight guard was a 30 something year old woman who was taking college classes...this lady was a sweetheart with two young kids and always did her job. The c-word day guard got with building management and convinced him to make it a rule that guards could not do homework or anything school related between the hours of 11pm to 7am or be fired...and the manager actually agreed to this! This c-word did other backstabbing things to other guards...including me...as well but not like she did to that one poor lady. 😒

A couple of these aren't passive aggressive. They are just edgy teenagers going out of their way to be jerks for no reason. I teach high school. I had a student just this year attempt to hand in a writing assignment he folded up into a paper airplane (just to be edgy and it was only half done). I took it from the stack of assignments and tossed it maybe 10 feet into the recycle bin. When he looked at me dumbfounded, I said 'What? You gave me some trash so I threw it out for you. Thanks for keeping the classroom clean. Now, where is your assignment?'

another student and I INVARIABLY asked a talkative teacher some question one minute before end of class. We'd take turns. They were always really good questions. Something that should have already been covered, but that particular teacher used to waffle around a lot. Undoubtedly, we seriously annoyed every class mate ever. But because everyone really needed to know that, (in order to complete an assignment for example), nobody could say anything to us. We both had such innocent faces too. We had a tag team in passive/aggressive going on, because when we asked questions DURING the class, the other kids would make exasperated noises. alright then. Let's do it this way. He and I never discussed it. Just did it.

Duolingo allows you to specify WHEN you want to be reminded to practice. And you can turn it off altogether. If Duolingo is bothering you, it is because you failed to tell it to stop. It makes sense to default to sending a reminder when you are the one who decided to learn something new. You don’t learn a language via osmosis - you have to put in the hours of practice daily.

Worked at Taco Bell for 8 years had a lady order a side of avocado ranch which we always place in the small plastic cups. Well that wasnt enough gor this lady she approached the counter yelling at my lady up front who is no manager mind you so she says "Let me get my manager." She replies "No just give me another cup." So she comes over and I'm like "Alright no problemo." Giving her another cup, during our chicken tenders promotion. Well she came up and started yelling at my front lady again. So I went to finf out what the issue was and thrn explained to the lady that our sides always come in the same cup unless we are out.of that cup. However we were not.out of that cup so she doesnt get thr free upgrade. She huffed and puffed for ten minutes so told her that is get her another just to shut her up. But this time I used my headset to tell a crew member to look up weird al "Fat" and start blairing it. I went to the front counter as it began with a bottle of avocado ranch and a potato cup bowl and just squeezed it as slow as I could going in spirals. When it was a quarter full she said "Thats enough." Very Karenish so I difnt listen I just kept going slowly in circles until the rest of the bottle was done... Aka the whole song.

It's absolutely vital that you learn how to work with other people. Every single job requires this in one form or another, without exception. That said, there also needs to be a mechanism that simulates being fired, as there are consequences for underperforming. Doing all the work yourself means you aren't doing the work you are supposed to be doing, so fail. No people skills, fail. Can't see the forest for the trees, ie thinking the project is the goal, not the task of group work, fail. This is called tunnel vision and a common problem in the workplace, that will quickly get you fired. Yes, you do that narrow group of things very well, but you aren't doing your entire job so more than fail, fired. The project is not important. Doing it as a team that can govern itself is. Fail that, and well... fail. Can not stress enough that these need to be the norm, not the odd project here and there. You absolutely need to know how to deal with other workmates, good or bad. But yes, there also needs to be a way to fire underperforming students too.
