Australian, no medical training other than Lv2 first aid. NEVER attempt to drive through flood waters. If a beach has flags, swim/surf between them. If snorkelling on Great Barrier Reef, do not molest stingrays (or attempt to pull the barb out if you did). A way to save your life is to know that you can use almost everything as a weapon for self-defense. Everyone in the United States of America knows it; Everyone else on Earth just has to learn that fact.

@@kajag1063 Many criminals and those with criminal intent have gotten guns illegally and using knives, bats, chairs, etc can be worse than hiding if such a person is an active threat People know that other things can be used as weapons it's just that using guns are very effective if one knows how to use it. Those that can't or won't own a gun either know that nearly everything can be used as a weapon at least once or are naive enough to believe that something like a screwdriver or rolling pin can't actually cause serious harm to someone or that anyone would use them as weapons.
