Dave. You can get Blue Puddle lights too. My wife got me those when we got our Blue Model 3. They really pop. Didn’t know about the lights inside. Going to have to look for them and get all blue to match

Hey Dave, I bought those puddle lamps for my November build 2021 model S and they didn’t fit. On models S/X, Tesla changed the puddle lamp to a 1” diameter round fixture. Wish I could find a brighter puddle lamp. Tesla has issued cease and desist orders to vendors who display their logo in puddle lamps. But doubtful if Tesla can enforce law in China. They can sue Amazon for illegal distribution.

I have installed blue emblem lights on the front doors and two bright blue lights on the back doors. I have a Tesla model Y standard range and I have seen that the lights sometimes lose power and things like that. It is normal?

Does the front door puddle light dim when you open up the rear door??

Dave I love your videos especially the diy ones. I have a problem I want puddle lights for my model X. It is a 2022 refreshed and the current puddle lights are round not rectangular. I’ve searched Amazon and no luck. Do you or your fan base know where I can find some? Thanks

great video. have you seen/looked into the "10.25-inch integrated smart instrument screen", by TMA (Tesla Motor Accessories)? it's the most integrated instrument cluster display for model 3/Y. Curious to know your thoughts.

If you reinsert the plug properly I think you will be fine. you can also power down the car when doing this

Something more usefull and not too difficult to install would be to add a light to illuminate the rear passenger floor. To do so, it would be very easy to add a light under the central air vent and would turn on when you open the door. The rear passengers have a light inside the door which get turn on when you open the door but this is not really usefull. Also there are light on the ceiling but you need to press on a button to activate them, so this is not very practical.

There’s an option to have the ceiling lights turn on when doors are opened and closed, like other vehicles do.

Hi Dave, will it void the warranty on the car ? Never mind..I found the answer.. it might probably void the warranty on the interior lights, like (causing issues with the window going up/down when opening the door, causing trim damage, etc.), this kind of damage wouldn’t be covered since the LED puddle lights are the cause of the damage, but not something unrelated like the drive train or battery.

@nejcribic using these puddle lights for the past 6 months, and i never had any problem. I love to see wow feel from my friends after seeing those lights..i feel they are worth 💗

The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act protects consumers from modifications as long as they don’t willfully damage or destroy their vehicles. In other words a puddle light modification cannot void a warranty for the drivetrain of the vehicle.
