definetly like to try this only question i have is the fan motor, im going to need it for circulation not sure if that can be wired in with the heats

You could add another circuit off main power and put it on a switch, or use some type of thermal switch if you want it to be automatic.

Also I don't plan on running as high of temps to temper knives but to dry filament and plastic pellets

Good presentation. Your project layout is just what I had in mind. I have most everything, including insulation. Deciding on the PID is where I'm at. So many cheap Chinese units. Did you get your PID performance improved? Any suggestions for choosing a PID? Thanks.

I bought a cheap PID off Amazon. I'm confident my temp control issue is from poor insulation. It varies about 20 deg above and below set temp. I put another cheap PID in a kiln I built (before my channel), and it works great. I'd choose another cheap one off Amazon. You could always upgrade if it doesn't perform well. Good luck!
