I guess the after market radio unit is difficult to connect with the existing back up camera located at the center mirror inside my F-150 2012. Can you please show a video that shows how to connect into the center back up camera in the mirror of the F-150 or point me to the right place to find that information? Thank you again!

Just installed this screen in my 2012 F150 a little over a week ago. So far I love it. Audio quality is much better than factory, the features are endless (although I mostly just use apple carplay), install took no more than 20-30 mins…. Only negative things I could Say about this is the mic quality, Bluetooth connection time (sometimes instant sometimes 25secs), & no volume knob. Other than that this is a huge upgrade to my vehicle for functionality and looks. Can’t beat it with a stick. Only a week in but so far so good.

Because I haven't done it yet! lol It's quite easy really. The red wire connects to 12v on your reverse light and the video cable run through the vehicle and plug into the CAM in input!

What do you do with the 4-pin insert which was originally attached to the stock dash kit? It is the one that emerges from behind the right side of the dash.

Does this replace the factory radio completely? I am currently having this issue where the factory screen just blinks the time. After some KZbin searches, I found that a solder joint on the motherboard is to blame (fuses were good and a tap to the front of the radio makes it start working) Common issue on these radios. Instead of just replacing it, I thought to upgrade it with this (or a similar product). I just want to make sure I won’t have that issue after replacement. Thoughts?

I'm about to install mine. I see my main negative will be no volume knob. I do have a factory volume buttons on the steering wheel. Will those work? If so, do I have to do anything special to get them to work? Thanks for the videos. Both have been super helpful so far.

My truck didn’t have radio control so I cannot confirm, but it is supposed to because it runs through the canbus which is supposed to maintain those features.

It ultimately depends on the vehicle for fitment, but all offer a backup camera option and Carplay.

I have an 11 6.2L platinum with a large display, this wont work. I have a cubby where the small display is, I was able to mount just the 9" panel radio with a bracket. Looks very modern like the new trucks.

Everything is only able to plug into one spot! Double check the connection at the factory harness then check your fuses!

@@OldeCarrGuy yeah al the connection only plug in into one spot but it keeps burning fuse 29 on the 2012 f150 when I connect the RCA INPUT/OUTPUT HARNESS onto the stereo

@@mondocrvts9712 Then you should check whatever is connected to the other end of the rca harness for a short or bared wires. Also check to see that the pins in the connector aren't bent.

Bought same radio but after installing fuse #29 was blown......replaced fuse again and it's blown again....as soon as I turn power on it blows and it's a 20amp fuse....do I need to go bigger ?
