Speakrs upgrade is what I would go plus amp. The stock JBL sound is 'ok' and its a bit hard to hear the difference but I believe you

Is there any distortion when the volume is turned up? With the settings I have on my head unit I can get to around 50 before the factory amp starts taking away bass from the speakers. I have a 2021 Corolla XSE with JBL.

The overall volume will increase and you can turn up the volume very loud without distortion after adjusting the gain- recommended is about 11 o clock for the front and about 2 o clock for the rears. We haven’t tested what the factory 50 will be with our amp, but we estimate about 36-40

The music from the speakers are driven from the sound reproduction made by the amplifier. As such, by adding our amp to boost the factory map to takes that factory sound system to the next level

Under normal circumstances it won’t. If you listen to music at max volume to extended periods (2+ hours) It may. There if a fail safe built in so that the power output will become less to prevent total failure.

Speakers don't overheat, but if you raise the volume and you get clipping, you are drawing too much power.

Thank you! one more question. On back of the headunit which connector has the speaker wires. Trying to add subwoofer and need to splice into the front drivers side door soeaker wires. On the headunit which colors wires are the front driver side speaker wires and what color is positive and negative. If you can answer this will help me tremendously! can't find nothing on the internet. When I took the panel off I seen violet with green stripe and violet with blue strip. Which color is positive and which is negative and can you confirm these are the same colors connected to back of head unit. Thank you!

I see that the unit you installed has free RCA ins and outs.. can those be used to send sound to a sub or amp?

Unfortunately the amp does not come with rca sub outs. Those are only audio inputs

I have a RED WOLF t-harness for a '22 Corolla which my LOC is connected in the middle of, so I am curious if connecting your harness to the one I have my LOC connected to would pose a problem or changing one of the ends would work? Asking since the colour of the wires on the RED WOLF harness I have is seemingly the same as the one you guys have.

But that 8 inch sub still sounds anemic. 😭 I'm going to change the sub once I learn the color code of the 4 wires attached to the sub. Your aftermarket amp and sub is connected via line out converter and usually work independently with our amp. But it depends on how it’s wired up

Gain on the new amp we adjusted to about 11 o clock on the front and 1 o clock to the rear. Max is about 5 o clock
