These are surprisingly pretty good. I did have the rear leaking at the bleed port. It was missing an o-ring. I had one laying around that fit. Bled it, and replaced the contaminated pads. All ok now, but something to check!

I have a set of shimano xt m8100's on my CO-OP hardtail. I put a set of these on my wifes Ozark Trail ridge and they stop just as good. The build quality of the levers isn't as nice, but they look great in purple on her gray and purple bike.

I recommend a minimum of shimano m6100. Those are good for trails with flat elevation and no features, but that’s gets boring pretty quick. M6100 are around $120 for the rear level and caliper, and the front is 110

I had these before replacing with MT200, and tbh I liked these better than the Shimano MT200, they have better reash, better lever shape and I feel they stopped better then my MT200s. I just switched from resin to Metallic pads on my MT200s and they are now about as good as the Zoom brakes. People give these brakes alot of shit because they're cheap but I really liked them, the only reason I'm not using them now is I went with an all black color scheme and I don't feel like spending another $60 after spending $80 on my MT200s.

And for those living in the uk not sure about the other country’s then you’re even more luckier because because chain reaction is still running the 50% off on selected components so you can snag yourself a shimano alivio m445 brake set for £30 rrp£90 Or even begetter you can get Tektro HDM-745 But this time you have to get front and rear separate both costing £40 per side and rrp being £140, plus a lot lot more baringds on other components too

Not as good as the formula brakes, but defenitely ridable without having to fear that they break down. But to be fair i have never tested those zoom brakes.

If you aren’t a downhill racer, stick with rim brakes if that’s what your bike came with. Disc brakes are more expensive and harder to adjust. They don’t stop your bike much better anyways, unless you’re blasting down a mountain at over 50-5ph

Hello I am going to buy hydrolic disk brake but confused between Cable pull hydrolic calliper or full hydrolic brake
@acebikemedia Жыл бұрын
Cable pull hydraulic, you just use a specific hydraulic caliper, keeps your normal mechanical brake cables and lever. Full hydraulic uses hydraulic fluid lines to actuate the caliper and requires an all new system (levers, cables, calipers)

I’m new to bikes I was wondering how do you shift gears with these
@Justus244912 жыл бұрын
There brakes not a gear shifter
@simonlinser8286 Жыл бұрын
There's two little levers, you can see one on the right side, the left one is underneath, if you have front and rear derailleur then you have two of these little levers left and right, and you use your thumb for one, index finger other one. They suck though i still have scar tissue from when i was a teenager from my index fingers and thumb rubbing up against them, which was probably my fault for not adjusting them, but should you really have to have to wear gloves to ride your bike without your hands getting all torn up. Cheap shifters too they had sharp stuff. I just don't even have gears anymore, it's better that way, nothing to break or make you wreck when they fail. Also good training.

How bad does the factory brake have to be, so the really terrible Zoom brake could be an upgrade? The majority of the zooms sold can go straight into the trash ( because quality ), only a few work on a good low level standard.
@acebikemedia11 ай бұрын
I think these are a pretty reasonable upgrade for anyone who has a bike with mechanical brakes, or an old mountain bike with 15 year old hydraulic systems. I was impressed with these specific zoom brakes for the price.
