Nice video! FYI most BMW's have a physical key that can be removed from the key fob that way you can get into the trunk if it closes and you battery is disconnected that is if you trunk has a key slot, also you don't need to remove the airbag in order to take the trim off the wheele just 3 T20 screws for the trim and another 2 of them hold the buttons.

It’s raised up a bit because they lay carbon fiber on top a factory piece. That and the clear resin makes it a little more raised than the factory piece. I ordered one from Autotechnic & I just wanted to see some install vids. I worked in a collision repair shop for 16 yrs so I’ve done some air bags & steering trim in my time lol! I’ve done a tone of these as well. I just wanted to see the fitment, then I seen a few videos of guys doing it without taken them airbag out❓ Some peps shouldn’t be working on cars. At least you did it the correct way! I guess 335’s don’t have a key for the trunk? My E82 135i M Sport has a key. So if it did shut I can pop the key out of the fob ‘ manually open it? Cool bud…💪🏻🏁

Good to know! The E9X got rid of the truck keyhole after 2007 (I think that’s the year) so if you let it close you definitely have to get a bit creative

So he removes the trim peace but how do I get the buttons and wires to come off? I recently got a custom steering wheel & I need to re-use pretty much everything (airbag,buttons, trim with wires) from my stock wheel
