This is a great idea for an interchange. Nowadays, I'm opposed to a trumpet interchange because it has a loop, which the centripetal force is harder on bigger vehicles like a semi truck. This is good because it's more aerodynamic compared to a partial cloverleaf/ trumpet interchange

If you already have some kind of city, pause the game before demolishing the old interchange, to not break the traffic flow too much. (Though I guess this way is more realistic. Even more would be to block the highways on the previous exit before starting the construction works.)
@nilscibula53203 жыл бұрын
Nice and simple to build interchange, but you can improve it by making the highway 2-lane in both directions between the offramp and the onramp.

I'm not sure if I would. I never see something like it IRL. Locally you'd be more likely to have a 2 way overpass or something fit to the terrain. 1 over and 1 under is unlikely. But for high throughput interchanges, maybe.

Despite copying everything exactly as shown in the video I still got the steep terrain error and had to turn off snapping to angles in order to build the ramp. Also some of the curves were more expensive for me or looked odd. I just noticed that I have to set the points differently while building turns in the middle of trying to rebuild this.While this is a little frustrating I just hope that can't be noticed in the end product. (It can be noticed with the naked eye because the overpass lines extends a little further than the underpass line ;-; )

The perfect realistic T Interchange, where you start motorway runs left to right. Turn these into upward/downward curving lanes away from each other like the outline of a lemon. Have the vertical lanes curve within the lemon to join each horizontal curved lanes and you have a smooth T Junction motorway which you see in real life designs. I have an example on the Xbox Cities Skylines Club and it runs beautifully and looks incredible as detailing opportunity is huge. Curved into a junction is best and realistic. KZbin Channel - Road Guy Rob. Have a watch and of course Peter Dibble, great examples of real-life curve into Junction interchanges.

This is actually how the I-80/I-280 Interchange is built. With the exception that the 2 ramps are Left Turns. It functions great in real life, but the Left Lane movements always worry me in Skylines.
