Happy new year, everyone! I live in a sunny, high altitude climate and wear wide brimmed sun hats (and SPF50) every single day. I have lighter hats for summer, and darker, heavier hats for winter, but if I'm outside I'm probably in a hat! Since they're a daily staple I have a whole wardrobe of them to play with.

I love big hats! And I think they're practical as they protect from the sun. Tip for keeping them from flopping in your eyes - wear a basball cap underneath in a similar (disappearing) colour.

What makes bag charms tasteless imo is when people have too many or they're all the colours of the rainbow. I've worn bag charms for years, but they're either small or they're a similar size/style. What I see being put forward as "trendy" is a mish mash of often very childlike charms that look like a total mess. My bag charms are: 1) brooches/pins/badges from artists/museums or vintage brooches pinned to my denim/fabric tote bags; or 2) silver (even gold) charms that I no longer wear on my bracelet. I bought some inexpensive metal key rings from Amazon (the round bits come in different sizes) and used them to hang my charms around the bag handles. I have several bunny, cat and other animal charms and they're quite valuable but safe around the bag handles and they look chic, not cheap.

I won't do bag charms, but I am tying a scarf on my purses. Skipping the bold earring colors, I think that look is dated or reserved for the preteens. I wear what I like when I like, I never save anything for "good". Everyday deserves the best. Mwah!

More of what others are saying regarding New Year’s resolution and fashion. I find if I don’t buy a full outfit at one time and I purchase single items let’s say like a shirt I end up not wearing it. I normally dress very cute and I would like to begin dressing elegantly. My goal is to wear one color and have a closet filled with neutral colors and accessorize from time to time with a pop of color not always but once in a while.

At the end of last year I had just got two vintage winter coats from my now 100 year old grandmother! One dark grey with real fussy light fur at the collar and hem and one long light gray sheerling coat! They are quite heavy and she didn’t want them anymore…! She is almost my size EU 40-42 though I’m taller than her, they fit! At the moment it’s not very cold here in southern Sweden (+3-0*C) , though we got snow during the night! I’ll use these during this and coming winters! I’m all in on assesories! Easiest way to transform and outfit! I like: coloured stockings/ hosery, hats 👒(especially at summer-I’ve used them for years!), scarves 🧣(I have inherited a whole bunch from my mum!), quirky handbags (Yay! I ’ll dig into my stash!) 🎒🌹and floral earrings/earstuds! 🌺🌸🌼 2025 is starting of in my taste!🥰 Bye from 🇸🇪!

Mine is to invest in a new accessory before buying each new clothing item- I end up buying SO many new clothes, putting off accessories until "later"- but later never comes bc my wishlist for new clothing is endless (truly- I have multiple carts on standby, each exceeding 10,000... I don't think they are ethical. I know about the recent Dior scandal, but I believe that luxury brands have been using cheap labor for a long time. However, for me, besides the ethical aspect (which is also important), I value quality and design, so I will choose bags on *regbags* , where not only the quality is good and the price is affordable, but also the customer service is reliable.
