I’ve come full circle on my fragrance journey. When I first got into fragrance, I was buying clones and hyped up cheapies. Then I got really into designer fragrances. More expensive, but typically better quality in my opinion. Then I went all in on niche. Now I’m back to clones in this economy 😂. If I want something niche or expensive designer, I’ll just get a 10ml decant.

Dua Brand is a great option too. Everything I’ve purchased from them is bang on practically 100% exactly like the fragrance they are cloning, sometimes even better. I’ve went CRAZY and bought I don’t know, 30+, I’d have to count. Worth every cent. I still like to get brand name frags too but as far as my experience goes, no one out does Dua for quality and price as far as clones.

I’ve done the same exact thing. Now I’m mostly buying from Alexandria Fragrances - Montagne Parfums and recently ordered from Scentual Obsessions.

I have both Elysium and Imperium and of course the differences are per the usual. Elysium is a much better fragrance , it has complexity and depth. Unfortunately it does not have the performance I would like. Imperium does not have the complexity and depth, however it does have the performance. Considering imperium is 10% the cost of Elysium, I am more than happy. I do wear both.

In high heat Imperium is such an amazing fragrance. I travel abroad to tropical destinations, and in the high humidity of Thailand and Jamaica I've had so many compliments on this fragrance! 🔥

I just got Turathi Blue yesterday and it was love first whiff! It has versatility but it smells very high quality once the scent settles, for how cheap it is its amazing! I have to give a shoutout to Dior Homme Intense. It was my 32nd fragrance because i knew that it isn't a great blind buy. First times i smelled it and didn't like it at all (that wood heavy smell in the opening) but i kept spraying the back of my hand so i can get used to it and day three when i smelled the drydown i fell in love. Not wasting a single drop anymore, i just go take a lungful from the atomatizer :) The Drydown is by far superior (In my humble opinion) to any other fragrance. (I only have designers) I am 3 weeks away from going full gollum with an empty bottle of DHI in some cave. Reserve Privee is 2nd place. I got into Iris frags because of you and i thank you for it

Hawaii volcano- alexandria fragrances for me is the most realistic lime scent ive ever smelled only second to cutting an actual lime. It settles down nicely as well

Make sure you moisturize (lotion or whatever) after a shower. Spraying on dry skin gets soaked in VS sitting on top of the skin and continuing to blast.

Use Vaseline on neck and wrist ( just a little bit) then go for 10+ sprays you will see the difference

Believe it or not fragrance world was the 3rd to clone Nitro Red. Lattafa's nardo red clone came out last year and smells just like Dumont Nitro Red

Looking forward to doing two summer classics, Tommy by tommy hilfiger and Polo blue. Just copped both bottles however, I don’t know if it’s just me or both fragrances have been altered over the years. I wish you could get your hands on vintage bottles for both and compare to the new ones. I am so tempted to get vintage bottles from ebay but then again I don’t know if it’s worth it. Can anyone please reply if they can confirm my suspicions or if it’s just all in my mind.
