Hello I simply had a question. I own a 2023 model 3 and was interested in this rear screen. Which option works with my 2023 model 3? Model 3 2017-2019.02 or model 3/ model y?

If there is no one sitting in the back, will the screen turn off/sleep/dim automatically after a certain amount of time? Like 2 minutes, 5 minutes? Or it is just keep it on all the time? Will it consume a lot of battery from the car?

This one will turn off after 5 minutes. The older ones stay on all the time.

i bet having the heat turned on thru that screen will make it overheat and run even slower

Great video! I have a question... I have 2 kids in the back and I would want them to be able to watch a video on long road trips but be connected to some kind of audio device where they both have the ability to listen to the sound from the video. How would one do that?

I would need to determine if you can attach 2 different Bluetooth headphones. There is no physical headphone port on this one. I would need to test this.

You could connect a Bluetooth receiver adapter to the screen then use a headphone splitter to connect 2 wired headphones to the adapter. Independent volume control would need either an in-line control or controls on the wired headphones. I doubt this custom Android tablet supports connecting to 2 different Bluetooth audio devices. Only certain Android devices, like those from Samsung, support multiple Bluetooth audio connections.

Why would the back passengers control front seat?

If nobody is in the passenger seat, the people from the back and move it forward to get move leg room.

Lets say you are driving and the kids are in their car seats in the back. They want you to turn on netflix since they can't reach the screen. How would i do that? Pull the car over, get out, open the back door, tether to my phone, login to netflix, find the movie, hit play and then get back in the front seat and drive?

The best solution would be to set up the screen with Netflix (or other apps) login and WiFi hotspot connection settings beforehand. As for reaching the back screen, Amazon sells extra large stylus pens that work on touchscreens. Those are about 7-8 inches long. They also sell telescopic pointers with a stylus tip; those can extend about 3 feet.

Is it me or does it seem pretty choppy? Doesn’t look it has very good processing power. I wonder if there are better options with more processing power.

The rear screen is just a gimmick. Nobody wants to sit and look down for a long time. Kids also srr more prone to car sick looking at a screen that low

We can agree to disagree. If it wasn’t valuable, Tesla wouldn’t have added it to the new Model 3. Will agree that it’s not useful for everyone.

@@iowatesla true. If you could unmount the screen then it would be very good. But you are right.. we know that tesla use data to cut cost (lumbar support) so you would imagine that tesla data shows the rear screen being used a lot.

This is true.. my kids sometimes already get car sick when they look at their phones..

don't see why you'd want this if you have some kids.. they're going to have power to open your glovebox or mess with the chairs just to bother us.. any adult guests are libel to do this on occasion just because they think it's funny.
