It's called the BUTT of the stock and the "upper" (front) is the Foregrip.. So, is the ASG M40A3 the same as the Double Eagle M40A3 / M62. I just bought the DE and I seem to see a lot of threads say they are actually the same rifle. Last - where have you found spare mags for the M40A3 and who's are universally compatible. (like your hop-up).

Goria Burt you wanna take the body screws off and then remove the screw near the threads of the outer barrel going into the receiver. Last just unscrew the outer barrel

Not for the sportline but if you get the proline you can use any vsr 90° trigger like the springer custom s-trigger

@@vrooomarmament Thank you for the answer. The only m40a3 in my country is black sportline. Sadly this one cannot be upgraded on trigger unit which cannot handle higher springs that we use in our country.

The cylinder upgrade parts are APS2 or VSR10? I've seen videos and the cylinder parts are all over the place... Some says is still VSR10 and others says its APS2

David Ellis the cylinder is not vsr 10 spec. It is aps2, but some aps2 parts still won’t fully work. The only cylinder upgrade parts I found compatible is the matrix tune up kit shown in this vid. Hope that helps

Hi, I think the stock rifle has a 45 degree trigger, but l96/aps2 pistons are 90 degrees, so dow does that work?

What were the modifications for the VSR 10 hop up installation?

The vsr 10 hop up was a drop in, you have to modify the cylinder head which I did at 4:00 . This is done so the cylinder head sits flush with the hop up unit. Hope that helps

No worries, I would also recommend doing a tdc mod with the standard vsr hop up unit or getting the action army unit instead after finishing this project

in short rather than adjusting the hop up from the hop arm you would adjust it with a allen set screw or wheel above the barrel. There’s different tdc mod styles out there. For this hop up unit in particular I’d go with the gunsmithy tdc

Ruming Jiang the kit I installed is the matrix sniper rifle kit which included piston, spring, spring guide and that worked great

Beard SKUM yes but if your field doesn’t allow 500fps guns then it won’t be legal. Most field limits are 550fps or 2.8 joules and this is under that limit just enough to pass chrono
