That's why they are successful, they bring parts to niche car communities so they get ALL of the community. Plus ZZP is ran by older clean car guys with expensive vehicles, not young straight piped kids with bolt on cobalts, so they have a more successful mindset vs having to compete and fight the market on popular platforms.

@@Ausy_ERROR I think they are referring to the fact that these are one of the biggest piece of junk engines Gm ever produced that grenades itself in completely stock trim even with very regular maintenance. I've been a proud chevy guy my whole life and my cruze and my gf's sonic have single handedly made me want to never buy another Gm product again unless it is an older vehicle.

The automatic transmission version of the 1.4's make somewhere around 30-50whp less than a similarly modded manual trans car. This car is still up over 100whp over the stock turbo and plenty fun.

Im a gm tech and they actually install the preventative stuff like the pvc system fix which is the main problems on them and they sell the aluminum parts for the stuff tht breaks tht is plastic so basically fixing wht gm supposed to do

Exactly lol... I've had problems pretty much every 10k miles since it hit 30k. It's a lemon car but I do appreciate the ZZP guys giving it some love and re-engineering everything that could have made this platform respectable. It was marketed as the new Cobalt and US competitor to Honda/Toyota so I was sold on it. Unfortunately 12 years later, there are just better options even if they don't have the same charm the Cruze did

@@SMILEY.45 no doubt. I've dealt with zzp before buying things for my cobalt ss. I'd love to buy their intercooler and piping kit just to get rid of all the plastic crap that is leaking boost on my car, just can not justify spending that much on a car that is constantly falling apart and has zero resale value. I have done the PCv fix, replaced the valve cover, turbocharger, replaced every single component of the evap system and still have evap codes popping up every day. On my 5th waterpump, coolant outlet, thermostat, second cooling fan. Swapped fuel control modules to get bypass the grill vents and this thing still runs hotter than Hades. After even a short drive there is so much pressure in the coolant hoses I'm afraid they are going to pop.

The ecotecs prior to the Cruze/sonic generation were all solid. Cobalt/cavalier 2.0/2.2/2.4 were great.

I've seen better luck with the non turbo 1/8 L with a turbo added the Chevy Cruze base model what's an automatic slap shift kids on KZbin with a turbo added he's doing a good job in that cruise

Fastest Chevy Cruze I've seen was a 2013 2014 1.8 L non-turbo with a turbo added with the six-speed slap shift automatic at that he's on KZbin he went to the track with it and totally whipped up the whole track went back to another track and everybody he raced you whipped up on them too

What gear was that pull done in? I didn't like my Cruze until i tuned it then a deer said not so fast... my 2020 Equinox 2.0 I absolutely love for all around use and performance Full bolt ons and tune, but a red light runner said nope... So I may be able to fix but not sure yet...😭

The cruise control light just means the cruise control system is ready. Not that it’s actually at a set speed

Unrelated to this video, do you guys have a video on a rear brake disc conversion for the cruise? I'm honestly tired of the poor braking I get because of them

Wondering the same thing. On the website it says it's only for the Sonic but in the reviews section someone posted pictures of a Cruze with front and rear disc brakes. I need to service my brakes soon and I don't want to spend more money on drum brakes if I have the option to switch to disc in the back.

drums wont cause any braking issues unless you're overheating them

Okay, but at Apple Valley Speedway I could tell after 5 laps the drums weren't keeping up with my 12" front kit. Fortunately the fronts could still stop well enough but I had to run a cool down lap and pop off the track every 10 laps or so. If I had disks back there it would keep me out longer.

The stock engine is very stout, and we've made over 300whp on one. It's around that mark that we would recommend looking into forging the engine.

I find it way more rewarding and impressive getting decent power out of a 1.4L engine. Also, your acting like the we need some one to save us from spending OUR money on a car.. your not the only one that knows an LS exists 😂😂
