SCOTT DAVIES ESK8 & TECH REVIEWS the reverse button changed the gears if I just press it. If I hold down the brake and then press the reverse button, it changes the brakes. But I’ve tried holding it down and it doesn’t do anything. How do you activate your reverse? Maybe I’m doing it wrong?

HI mate Awesome glad you got the ER you wont be sorry. Very little sag most noticeable from about 10% But that's not bad for 18650 cells Let me know once you get it and dont start in high it will do a wheelie, throw you off and scratch the tail haha

Yea agree but it’s not Meepos fault and the shipping is already costing them so much more than before. The boards are with the shipping agent and they need to find room a plans board and trains and there is 98% less now so it’s hard Just keep annoying them and it will arrive. Every ESK8 is taking ages Verreal, Exway , Ownboard all taking ages. Completely out of there hands.

Dji Drone two option I can personally recommend: the Vestar mini (belt or hub) or the backfire mini (hub) both are 10-15 days shipping and really good after sales service. The Vestar is similar shape to the boosted and the backfire it more traditional skateboard worth a double kick.

Hi mate, yea it’s a little rough around the edges. The motors are badly scratched and worn and the motors make a few strange sounds.

Speeds has lost a few Km, top is around 39-40 range is ok, but not as good as it was. To be very honest, it hasn’t worn that well

The breaks are adjustable; as long as you don’t go down a hill with a full Battery, the breaks will work perfect.

Meepo Mini 2 still goes 25 mph with a smaller battery and less weight. But its only $400 . I was wondering if the extra $200 for the ER model is worth it.

Hi mate, in my option yes for the extra you get a better battery, bigger motors with more low and mid torque and obviously higher speed. For the extra $200 the way I look at it is, your “future proofing” your ESK8 satisfaction. Hope that makes sense Scott

Important side note for everyone . Mr Scott here is quite a robust looking bloak. Im only 165 pounds butt naked, and actually Im about 15 pounds overweight due to lack of skating. So at ideal weight Im gonna go really, really fast on this. I might die but its ok. Im 47 years old. Ive seen enough.

Hi mate, both are great the Meepo has more raw power. My suggestion if you can wait a few weeks would be the Exway Wave. Iv just filmed it check it out in my videos. This thing blows both away And has hub or belt, built in rear light plus 2 sec removable battery 🔋

Hi mate there is no clear winner The Meepo is fast and heavy and good range but the quality and customer service is terrible The h20 mini is a more light weight option not as powerful but good range, plus pretty good customer service. My top tip would be wait a week I think the exway Wave is about to go on sale. I have one getting delivered next week, this will have amazing power great range quick swap battery built in tail and brake light and in my option amazing service Or if you need me to pick one from the list above that will go well on your hills The Meepo has a little more raw power Cheers Scott

Hi mate, not that many maybe 50km. I didn't like after a while the vibrations from the very slim rubber wheels. Plus Meepo customer service is not very good. Yes its got good range and ok power but I think there are better options out now. Look at Vestar mini, Ownboard Mini, Backfire mini or if not in a rush wait for the backfire Wave

Hi mate yes the Backfire is really nice. Don’t forget Exway have a new board out in a few months. It’s called the Wave it will have belt and hub plus a easy swap battery. I think it will be the market leader once out. Built in lights and a smart battery 🔋 If you can’t wait the Backfire is a great choice. I’ll have a Wave in a few weeks to unbox and test !
