I just bought a summit yesterday you have a great video I like how you show what you did and then a picture of it when you were talking about servos I think you said dole instead of dual for the servos I like how you showed how everything thing worked

nice build. I used a 2200kv motor on 4s with the same proline tires and my diffs never lasted more than a few runs, if even that. I ended up going back to stock set up. good luck with yours because brushless summits are a blast when their working.

As I mentioned in the video, I am using upgraded LEM differentials which have an aluminum housing and hardened spider gears. I have shredded the stock ring gear once, but I shimmed it and haven't had a single issue once. I abuse my Summit and everything holds up well

Awesome video, bought a summit 2 weeks ago and has just started the same route as you. It's kinda funny how we end up with a pile of traxxas parts and the last thing we need is a chassis and we just screw them all together and end up with a new stock summit :) i'll come back for some more info once i get some more parts, savox 1210 servos, alu servo saver and dog carrier on the way! Now ill check out that bottom skid plate peotector

+RC Marty Thanks!! Like you said, I built this Summit for nothing but performance, and I didn't waste my time with bling parts that had no use. I've walked the walk with bling parts, and overall found that they usually result in poor fitment and decrease the usability of the RC. You wouldn't believe how many hours I spent on the forums deciding what parts to add and not to add. Some forums were for the E-Revo dated back to 2009 lol.

Always wanted to see a summit with Slash suspension and a hummvee H1 type of body for a fully scale do anything rig. Would be awesome with the diff locks and even better if you could do a 2 wheel/4 wheel drive switch also.

Great upgrades too , you did just what was needed . Not that its a major thing but I wish Traxxas would have made some push rods in black to match there tie rods .Seems odd they didn't ..

hello, im new to the RC scene. i have a new traxxas summit.i have a problem im hoping someone can help me with. the front left wheel has locked after using the dif lock. i have switched the dif lock off, and the other wheel turn.however the front one still dosnt. im not sure how to fix it, what to take apart or how to do it. i have been on youtube to find How To videos on the dif but with mine being a new model everything looks different to my model. has anyone any advise? can anyone tell me how to dismantle it easily to fix it? thanks in advance

How fast is the 2200kv motor, because I want a brushless Summit upgrade and think about, if I should get a 1800kv motor or a 2200kv motor and are these castle motors(1512) waterproof out of the box?

Hey RC Grind just wanted to know if after all these upgrades did this make the drive line virtually indestructible. Just asking because I have done the Brushless upgrade on my Summit and since then I have Completely destroyed the below. Slipper clutch x 2 Centre Drive Shaft Rear Diff crown.

The differential locks are standard. The Summit is the only RC car ever made with remote locking differentials
