T1 Jacks ...hmmm intresting, AGY class A and A-B amplifiers have always been recognized as the best sounding amps and my friend Chris Bridge a high end electronic person from Micron Electronics told me that class D or digital switching amps are not to the level of the A A-B amps ...he said they are continually getting better ...are there any class D amps that can rival A and A-B amps cause I would still say anolog rules...thank you and have a nice day

Class D amps are getting better. However, it is like asking will tube be obsolete "again". There are going to be lot of people, plenty in fact, who still like tube sound. Would Class D ever going to take over Class A and/or AB. How come there are still Class A amp around when Class AB came out long time ago. Besides, Class D amps are switching amplifier. They are NOT digital amplifier. They are modulating the audio signal on a higher frequency to obtain higher efficiency not amplifier signal in the digital domain. Far from it. The idea of analog rules doesn't really apply to Class A, AB and D amps. Not from a technical point of view anyway.

Thank you AGY I always was confused about switching and digital amps , Carver magnetic field I think is a switching amp and I owned a Carver 6250 receiver and it was a nice amplifier however compared to A-B amps I found them lacking and decided to sell it and then purchased a Naim Nait 5i amplifier and it was so much better in every way , Soundstage, imaging , depth ...Carver 6250 was 120 watts a ch and Naim was only 50 a ch but I tell ya the Carver was just not audiophile, I was disappointed in its performance, Bob Carver is building beutiful tube amps now from his home in Colarado and they are getting rave reviews....Thank you AGY

@@greenlanternseven Carver magnetic field amp in the 90s use switching power supply but their output stages are still Class AB. Perhaps they have some that also Class D output stage that I don't know of. However, I don't doubt your assessment between the Carver receiver and Naim Nait 5i. Bob likes to push the idea to the limit. Which is also what I like about him. Not afraid to fail and keep on pushing forward. Sadly, I believe he has stopped making tube amps a month or so ago. The last tube amp he was making only made 25 units.
