​@@carsonmtech I was able to install the LED Daytime Running Lights and the LED Fog lights with no issues. Where I did run into an issue was with the installation of the Endurance LED lights. The instructions and video on KZbin indicate there is a clip to hold the socket in place within the housing of the KIA Soul light. That is not the case. My KIA has a ring held in place with 3 screws holding the socket of the factory supplied bulb fits in place. I sent an email to your eBay site that includes pictures.. I tried to insert the socket provided with the Endurance LED lights but it is significantly larger than the opening in the brace that holds the stock version that comes with the Kia. It is also larger than the groves in the bracket which means it does not fit into the opening. Do you have a solution or know of a part that will remedy the problem?

I just installed these on my base model 2020 Soul. WITHOUT A DOUBT, BY FAR THE BEST THING I HAVE DONE TO THIS CAR! These lights are insane bright! The kit I got had the day running lights also, and those were a 1000% improvement over stock. Can't say enough good things. Do it! Get these lights, you won't regret it!

@@kells.is.reckless Mine is the bare base model. No lane assist, no aluminum wheels, with regular halogen bulbs. Day 2, these lights are amazing how much brighter and better visibility you have. Pull the trigger, get them. I got the kit with day time running and headlights. Hope this helps.

Just installed them on my 2023 Kia Soul and it couldnt be easier. Theyre actually right at the top under the hood so no need to take any of the rivets out unless you drop the plastic piece down like i did 😅, without the hiccup it would have taken less than 10 minutes. 10/10

Just got mine installed. Ordered the headlights and DRL for my 2021 Kia Soul EX. The headlights were a little difficult to install, but that's due to Kia's design for the headlight placement. A great change from the standard halogens.

I've been searching LED headlights for my daughter's 2022 Kia Soul S. The factory bulbs are just horrible. If she's okay with replacing the existing headlight & DRL, I'll get these for sure. I was noticing in your video the cooling fan on the back of the headlights. The last step you did was to put the Twisted on cap on the back. Doesn’t that now become a sealed unit? How does that cool the light if it’s sealed in there?

The lights are great . I have the headlights and daytime running lights. The thing I’m not happy about is that when the package arrives it has a notice on the bottom that the lights aren’t street legal and are only authorized for off road currently. None of which is mentioned in the video before you purchase.

These are great. I installed on a 2023 Soul LX, I only needed the headlight kit. The headlights are accessed from the top and only the drivers' side has the fuse block nearby. I had to carefully remove the factory wire tie from each headlight housing to allow the connector, wire and controller to fit. The new LED light install is the same. There is a up/down adjustment on each of the headlight boxes for adjustment once you install the adapters and bulbs correctly. I had to adjust the 13mm nut clockwise/down for each headlight.

I just bought a 2023 Kia soul Ex and it doesn't come with LED headlights which I was upset ,but the tail lights are led and all the interior lights are LED. So I'm going to have to buy these headlights because the factory headlights suck. They only make the LX, GT no turbo anymore and the EX. My salesman said the way mine was ordered it came with everything except LED headlights which I didn't find out til after I bought and drove it at night

Thank you for the video and being probably the only business in the USA selling the H-19 headlamps. I too love my ‘21 Soul, hate the OEM lights. The new ones are awesome. You put the fear of God in me about dropping the black ring into the abyss, so I stuffed a rag in there before I tried putting the ring in place. My big manhands had trouble holding it in place,so I found a screwdriver with a handle the same diameter, and it held it firmly while I put the locking mechanism back in place. Driver side took me 45 minutes, passenger side 15 👍🏼. Trying to decide if I want to take that whole bottom panel off to do the fog lights. We’ll see. I had to aim the headlights down a bit, easy peasy 13mm socket or very small Phillips screwdriver did the trick. Thanks again, and thanks for the super fast shipping.

I like your idea of putting a rag inside the housing when installing the plastic H19 adapter, very smart! Something else for others reading this in the future, I have heard from some customers of putting a string through the hole of the adapter that is long enough to reach far outside of the headlight cavity that if you drop the adapter, you can pull it right back out of the housing. Then once you have the adapter installed, just simply pull the string all the way through and you're set. I hope you continue to enjoy your upgrade for a long time to come!

I purchased the headlights for my 2023 EX. Glad the headlight is accessible from the hood, but it was still not an easy install just because the space is so small and it’s tough to see with your hand in there lol. Hardest part was pushing in all the wires and the driver and plug connection into the space. The wires are rigid and bit difficult to maneuver into the space. But got it installed and it’s such a huge improvement.

Great video. On these cars, the stock Halogen DRL's are part# P21/5W, two function, 5 watts low, 21 watts high. Will the LED DRL's throw an error code because they don't have decoders? Thoughts on putting LED'S in all other areas (license plate lights, interior lights, etc) ?

Nope! I have had these LED P21/5W bulbs installed for a couple of months now and the only time you’ll get any errors is if one would happen to die (because the vehicle can detect when bulbs burn out). These are a 1:1 replacement so you should not see any errors! As far as putting LEDs in other areas, I have a couple of thoughts: 1. The interior lights in my GT-Line are already LED, so I don’t feel the need to upgrade those. 2. Plate light would potentially be a little more difficult depending on the type it is, I haven’t looked at the bulb before though 3. I would NOT replace turn signal lights or break lights at this point as those are more temperamental to LEDs being installed. They can be awfully picky. They also don’t need to be super bright for your benefit as a driver, they’re already bright enough for other drivers to see you easily, IMO So overall my thoughts on upgrading other areas is meh. I am satisfied with only everything in the front being upgraded at this point, which is why I haven’t made any other upgrades. But, to each their own and if you end up doin’ it feel free to email me your experiences on that at [e-mail] because I’d love to hear them!

@@carsonmtech Tested some off the self p21/5w / 1157 LED bulbs (3 watts) for the DRL's. After installation the LED's were flickering and there was an immediate error code on dash cluster. I assume the low wattage, and low resistance of the LED threw the error code, and the CAN bus computer system is looking for the 21 watts from the stock halogen bulb. Don't want to install a resistor equalizer as that involves cutting and splicing the wiring harness. Do you know the wattage, volts and amps of the Endurance DRL LED's? Are they CAN bus compatible LED's with a built in resistor inside the bulb assembly? Thanks!

Hey Tom! I certainly hope that’s not the experience you’re having if you purchased the Endurance LEDs DRLs! If it is the case, please contact my support email (mentioned in prior response on this thread) and I would be more than happy to send you a replacement because that should NOT be occurring. If you’re just looking for the specs of the Endurance LEDs DRLs because you haven’t bought any yet, of course! Here are some specs: - It can operate in systems 10-30v (so it’s both 12v & 24v compatible) - Operates between 6-7.2 Watts - I do not know the amperage - P21/5W / 1157 style base Endurance LEDs DRLs have only been tested to work properly within the DRL headlights; NOT the upper model trim turn signals. They should not be used in turn signals. Hope this helps! Again, make sure to reach out if you purchased the DRLs from me and are having issues. Take care!

@@carsonmtech Hey Carson, thanks for the reply. They aren't the endurance bulbs, I tested some off the shelf LED's you'd typically find at an automotive store which have around 2 or 3 watts. Thanks for the specs. 6-7.2 watts is a little higher than 2 or 3, but I'm still concerned that it will throw an error code. Was your stock DRL bulb also P21/5W (5 watts low, 21 watts high with both filaments illuminated)? Are your day time running lights always on? I think the regulations are different between Canada and the U.S, where DRL's aren't required? I assume the CAN bus system is looking for 21 watts at all times (stock OEM bulb). I'm wondering how your car doesn't throw an error code from the LED that is 13.8 watts less than OEM bulb. Does the Endurance DRL LED have a resistor built into the bulb the provide extra resistance? Thanks!

@@Tom-uq3kd Hey again Tom, no problem! I'm glad to hear you're not encountering this with Endurance LEDs bulbs. I have not ever received a single error code while running my DRLs. I am running the same ones that I am selling, which is why I sell them since I can verify that they work :)! - My DRLs are not always on, just whenever the auto-on light system determines that they should be on. However, they are always on at night once that's been triggered. - Probably different regulations indeed. - I'm not sure what CANBUS is looking for. - The Endurance LED DRLs contain a "built-in intelligent IC driver" as stated by my manufacturer. Based on the wattage used when in use, I would assume that it does not contain a resistor to provide extra resistance - or at least if it contains a resistor, it's purely for powering the LEDs in some way rather than to allow the CANBUS to see a higher draw. Sorry, I can't be more helpful here but I wish you luck in finding a compatible DRL!

Thanks for this awesome video! I’m going to be following these steps shortly. Just a quick question for ya…any tips/advice for aligning the headlights after installation? I’ve never had to align headlights before, so just wondering if there is a specific cutoff/height/width I should be aiming for. Also, in the instructions it mentions to make sure that the LED hood is positioned upwards once installed. In your case, did you find that there was wiggle room for the lights to NOT be level? I imagine if they’re screwed in place, it’s kind of hard to not be level…

No problem, glad you found it helpful!! I found this video helpful for the process of aligning: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXiuh2mMnKuJe8k then on the headlight enclosure itself, you can use a phillips screwdriver to adjust the adjustment screws. Rotating the LED itself just is a means of leveling the beam from being rotated too much. I found mine just go right into place how they should be once you’ve rotated the bulb all the way until it stops! As far as your last comment, it really just depends on how aligned your headlights were previously. If they weren’t at all, then these won’t be either. Even if they were even, sometimes because you’re adding a completely different bulb that’s much brighter, it’ll not be aligned until you align it.

2:45 That box is not a "decoder" its a "driver", which regulates the power to the LED. Its similar to the ballast on a fluorescent fixture. Some LEDs have them built into the assembly with the bulb (called an integrated-driver), but by making it external you move some of that heat away from the bulb, so the heatsink/fan doesn't have to work as hard and it makes the LED part smaller.

Hey Carson ! I bought the kit from you. It includes all 3 upgrades! I Installed everything yesterday, One problem is that the left Highbeam does not work, Only the right side (passengers side will light for the Highbeam works ) There is now a yellow triangle warning light on display in the dash, The dash tells me there is a problem with the right side highbeam , However this is the side that is working! I am thinking there is a bad relay in one of the LED's please advise what I should do ?

I ordered the LED headlight & DRL upgrade kit on my 2022 Soul LX (no fog lights, thank God!). As you said in your video, the DRL replacement was EASY, but I'm having trouble getting the wheel well liner out of the way. It's so rigid, I can't even get a hand behind it, without it cutting off circulation to my hand, even after removing the plastic rivets from the side and bottom (6 total). Is there a trick, or special tool, to getting the liner behind the wheel, to get it out of the way? I'm facing my wheels OUT, as you recommend, but I think there are metal screws (from the engine, above) in the well liner that prevent me from bending it out of the way. I really don't want to have to make an appointment at my dealer for something as little as this; they're so busy, my halogens will die before I get them changed out! 😉

Catherine, firstly, thank you for your order! I am glad to hear you got the DRLs installed. I think the biggest thing that is likely preventing you from getting the wheel liner out of the way is the fact that it's cooler in temperature this time of year. I was doing this on an ~85F day and so the plastic was reasonably malleable, but it was still not EASY to do. I would try and use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm up the plastic some so it is easier to bend. There is no special tool to getting the liner out of the way, I just simply used my strength to bend it back, and it was a little nerve-wracking doing so, lol. Pretty much any body shop that deals with headlights would be able to help you do this as well!

@@carsonmtech First, I live in TN, so it's NOT 'cool' here, plus it's also very humid here, too. I bought these lights about a month ago, and have spent days sitting out in 90+ degrees trying to get these lights installed. What I think made things harder for me were two-fold: I'm an older person (60), and a disabled veteran (can't get down to the ground anymore w/out severe pain), and my arms/fingers were not long enough to place the adapter in and close the wire clip. I was about an inch shy. So, today, I took the car down to a car audio installation place, and had them replace the headlights for me. It was worth every penny of the $48 charge. Should have done that in the first place, but your video makes it appear so easy; I thought I could do it, myself. Lesson learned! A job for spring chickens, not us old farts. I don't regret having it done, though, as it makes a HUGE difference. Honestly, it makes no sense for vehicle manufacturers to put such cheap headlights in, when buyers pay over $20K for their products. THANK YOU, Carson, for your video, and for convincing Endurance to manufacture H19 headlights for our vehicles!!!

Hi Carson , I want to order the low beam/high beam H19 setup you are selling. They seem really worth it. Not sure if the 1157 led bulbs are worth 31 dollars comparatively to some of the other 1157 led bulbs on the market but I know looks can be deceiving. Some of the others in the same price range have internal fans built in. Have you had any issues with flickering with these 1157’s or even the H19 low beam / high beam lights at all ? Hey Jonathan! I mean, I may have a bias, but definitely worth it with the step up in brightness over halogens!! Understandable on the 1157’s, the primary reason for the $31 is because the listings are with free shipping. Every kit shipped costs me on average $9.50, so that’s built into the price rather than making the customers pay for the shipping with a separate cost. Fans are not necessary for the 1157’s, they do not get as hot as the headlights because although they’re bright, they have the brightness spread across more LEDs than the H19’s, which have 4 LED chips total. I’ve run the Endurance LEDs DRLs for 6+ hours straight and never have I had issues with the bulbs flickering or overheating. New stock should be in place hopefully tomorrow (12/6) or Tuesday (12/7). As long as you order by 12/17 12PM EST, you’re guaranteed to get the kit before Christmas in any of the 48 lower US states. Otherwise, order sooner and you’ll get it with 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail shipping!

Just trying to install a pair of Piaa 85 watt ion fog lights on my 2023 Kia Soul. After looking where to run the wires, I see these new Kia Niro are not designed for running accessories lights like you could on older vehicles! Don’t seem to be any openings, cracks, holes, etc. where you can feed wires thru from the engine compartment to the front of the car. Much less anywhere to run wires from the engine compartments thru the firewall to the dash either? Looks like this is going to be one pain in the behind to install my after market Piaa fog lights! Any suggestions, I certainly appreciate any idea how to do this easier?

You mentioned it still has the same cut off lines on light. That's my biggest gripe about the 20/20 projection lights. Every dip in the road shortens the distance that they shine. I'm more interested in lights that reach out farther

If they go further, they will blind other drivers. That's what the high beams are for, if you need more light, turn them on but not around others!

Even my old 2000 Tacoma with halogens had farther reach down a dark road with much less glare and blinding light. I still feel the low beams on a 2020 soul are almost dangerous.

I just received mine (thanks) and am wondering if we should put a wire tie around the loose wiring as I’m wondering if all the vibration will eventually move the wires around enough to interfere with the fan.

Great question! I have run my Endurance LEDs set for well over a year now and I've had zero issues with the wires interfering with the fan. Just make sure you tuck them downwards so they don't fall (which they would if you tucked them upwards), and the solid stiff wiring shouldn't move around, even when heated up. Hope this helps!

I still havent rotated them to make sure they're level , are you turning that red circular part at the end of the LED light ? Cause I thought when you install them you rotate it clockwise till the wire faces down and it literally comes to a stop . I would appreciate any input . Also , I think one of them is brighter than the other. Gotta do a night time test against a wall but behind a car it looks like one is def brighter

Would love a response to this question. Did you figure this out? He's not clear in the video what to turn and if you turn too far, the light isn't tightened in its spot. I also have no idea how you're supoosed to judge how they're supposed to look, but they seem cock-eyed no matter what I do and I have no fingerprints left they're so damn hot.

Hey again! I did have new stock this morning. Unfortunately, because there was such a large influx of orders this morning, all of my DRL stock has been depleted and I am waiting on my full 100 kits shipment to arrive to replenish the H19/1157 listing. I will receive a small shipment of DRLs on Thursday and then more on Saturday. So, both of those days, make sure to have a look at the listing and you should be able to snag some if you are quick enough! I'm hopeful the large shipment will arrive next week though so that the listing can be live with many many kits available! TL;DR - A couple more kits will be added on Thursday of this week and then a couple more on Saturday. Then hopefully by the end of new week, many many more will be available! Just bought a 2023 Soul S and the headlights suck worse than the 2020 X-line I traded in. are these compatible with the new 2023? Read on a forum somewhere that the 2023 is still using the h19 bulb.

I’ve unfortunately not been able to test my Endurance LEDs yet in the 2023 line of vehicles, however, if you’d like to be my guest…please let me know how it goes! I do have a 30 day return policy with buyer paying for shipping back if you were curious. Wish I could give a more solid answer, but there just aren’t enough ‘23 models out there yet to ask someone I know if I could try installing them to see how they go!

When I “adjust” the bulbs they get worse. My wires are in the 6pm position and I’m still blinding oncoming traffic. Is there another way to adjust?

Yes! You can adjust the beam’s vertical (up/down) position by using a standard Phillips head screw driver and rotating the adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise. What? I’m pretty sure it’s a legal requirement in the US and many other countries that vehicles have daytime running lights and as far as I know, all Kia Souls 2020-newer have DRLs! However, DRLs or not, the LED upgrade of the headlights makes a HUGE difference in being able to see at night! I ran just my headlights upgrade for a couple of months and was 100% satisfied…the only real reason to upgrade the DRLs is for visual color tone matching. Otherwise, just getting the Endurance LEDs H19 headlights should leave you satisfied!

Do you mean you lost one of the H19 plastic adapters? If so, you can pick up another one from my listing here: www.ebay.com/itm/175063955723 If you mean you lost the metal retaining clip, then I, unfortunately, do not sell those and don't know where you can get an official replacement for it from Kia without purchasing an entirely new headlight housing. You may be best off with getting yourself a string, tying & hot gluing it to a strong magnet, and then lowering that into the housing to try and retrieve the clip. If the fan dies, it’s likely the LED would die before any other damage would be done! And in that case, if that would happen within a year of purchase, the 1-yr warranty would cover a free replacement!

Yep, retrofitting LED headlights in most countries will result in that. That’s why on the box of the headlights it makes note that these lights are not certified under US or Canadian laws and should only be used off road!

The H19 bulb is for the low & high beams in the Kia Soul. Every vehicle has a different style of headlight fitting and in this case, the Kia Soul’s in the 2020 GT-Line is H19. Most 2020 and newer Kia Souls with halogens installed from the factory have an H19 style fitting, but not all models share the same style, so make sure your vehicle is compatible before purchasing! Hope this helps :)

I believe you're confusing part of the headlights HB/LB (high beam/low beam) with the DRL's (Daytime Running Lights). The DRLs are at the very top in the 'light bar' and have nothing to do with the high beams, the H19 headlights are in the middle (HB/LB), and then the fog lights are on the very bottom. Nonetheless, if you're looking to just pick up the low/high beam headlight, you are looking for the Endurance LEDs H19 upgrade kit, which you can purchase from here: www.ebay.com/itm/174716394716! It IS compatible with the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Kia Soul S models. Unfortunately, all of my listings are out of stock right now as there are shipping delays for restocking from my manufacturer. However, the listing is expected to have more stock available on 12/6 (Monday) of next week!

Another issue here is that this video speeds up super quick when describing how many rivets to remove. I understand there are three on the bottom but how many are along the sides because despite removing the ones I can see it’s still difficult to get access here.
