Upgrading a TRS-80 Model 4P with FreHD hard drive emulator.

Did you buy or build that HD emulator?

I bought that one preassembled from Australia (trs-80.com.au/trs80/emulator.htm). I believe you can also buy boards from Pcbway and assemble yourself.

I bought the emulator from someone in australia, but I believe their is a git and other materials available publicly so you can build one yourself. I only had one TRS-80 I wanted one for so I went the prebuilt route. I did make a custom carrier/drive sled to mount both it and a gotek and routed the cabling inside so its all internal. I believe a lot of people regularly mount the FreHD in an external box and run the cable outside.
