Nice! I run drilled rotors and Hawk HPS pads as well and don't have any complaints.

Next time turn the wheels and you can easily get to all of the bolt on the back of the rotor easier - with out having to go under the car. Side note when replacing brake pad, also grease the caliper slide pins/guides.

I have a question after having the Hawks installed, did you notice any rattling going on? Ryan says that his rattled after installing them I installed mine and mine are rattling. I think the difference must be at the time Ryan was a rookie and so am I you had a pro to do yours. please let me know. Thank you.

He’s supposed to use the old pad to press against not the piston when depressing the caliper he could have Brocken or cracked the piston just a heads up but glad you did rotors nice job 🤓

Also, that piston is rusted to death! I would have rebuilt those brakes. Not difficult at all. Currently rebuilding TSX calipers for my Civic. (I want to auto cross)

while you had everything already taken apart how about stainless steel brake lines, stainless caliper guides along with a quick & easy front caliper rebuild . . .

Just to add to this, this is a must, the midline in the engine bay are exposed to heat and are liable to burst, not fun, Hozy in AUS with a 540 had this exact issue, first mod I did with my 540 was stainless lines and midlines in the engine bay.

It might just be me, but the rear pads looked like they were wearing at an angle and not dead straight. Always clean off to bare metal where the pads sit in the pad carrier, as over time corrosion (rust) will pinch the pad tight in the carrier and that's where the pad will wear at an angle and get stuck.

thanks bro, positive comments are hard to come by lately.

I would have gone with regular rotors for full face contact or at least slotted rotors. Drilled causes less area of contact as what I have seen from engineering explained.

Not a fan of HPSs. I had them on my 530i; they squealed after about 10,000 miles. My friend Ryan of E39Source has them on his M5; they've started squealing as well.
