Nice M5, I can only dream of owning one, my 540 has the chrome grill but will prob change to black, like you say it is the only chrome on the car, you have certainly come along way with it.

My e92 has the same shifter free play to the sides! Looks like a hard job, i believe car needs to be in a lift and u need to take the shield and possibly remove the driveshaft.

Yeah. Florida has its pros and cons! It's nothing like the midwest where I was before, but the winters are definitely nice

I prefer my E92, but I drive the E39 more frequently right now. Not sure if that helps haha

Good video. All V8 e39’s had all chrome grilles. The outer wide chrome only is a standard post 2001 grille on all smaller engined e39’s. Well done for saving a ‘beast’. Definitely a future classic. Check out legit street cars and his video on his 409,000 mile e39 he just bought. Well worth a watch. All the best. from irl. 🇮🇪

for the kidney grills, buy oem grills, paint the outer ring in carbon black and keep the inner grill chrome!

I've never had a chinese grill that installed perfectly straight. His grill is also crooked if you look at the passenger side
