Would like to see more about the dry finish compared to what you were doing before. Looks interesting. Always making the knives better.

It is always so nice and weird, to have a supplier actually developing technology to save you money, that otherwise they would cash in. So weird. Still, in the long run, it makes them more appealing to new customers, so they get more customers. I wonder if they patented it or relay on magic trade secrets :)

If they added a small skirt to the lid, that might reduce noise even more. Generally speaking, noise is about penetration, wherever it is allowed to enter/exit, it will do so.

So I read that you're thinking of moving into a new shop, but... the second half of the workshop seems quite huge. If wall was also cut upstairs between the two mezzanines you could end up with another work space and have the downstairs space for machines so perhaps the swiss lathe could go in there and the hot work and vibratory tumbler could go upstairs.

Thanks for sharing this swap-out with us! A couple of quick question, if I may? 1) What model # is this one? I don't see it on their site. 2) Are the divided sections water tight from each other? Keeping the cob mixture dry, and preventing coarser sludge water, from seeping over to the not-so aggressive sludge watery side. Edit: I was on the wrong site. I was looking at vibrafinish dot com, and not the correct vibra dot com.

The dry side is totally sealed, the other two compartments are not water tight even though they both have their own drains, but all the water comes from the same source anyway.

Thank you @@ErikGrimsmo. I was thinking if the wet bays were not tight. That the coarser grit sludge from one side, may seep under, and contaminate the other side. Say for example. 120g worn off of the media, getting under to a 320g side. Then every time the part makes a pass at the bottom. It could get some of the coarser scratches again.

@@SteveKluver Complete isolation is possible if the requirement calls for it. Machines can be built custom to suit the specific needs of the user's application. In this case as Erik mentioned, the effluent is recirculated and comes from the same place. Great question.
