i did the same as the batteries wear out quickly especially the new ones at dollar store have crap batteries in them. I used a smaller light though.

quick question. i gutted that same exact laser pointer. is the laser portion at thefront of the circuit board supposed to be able to just slide off?

Yeah they sometimes do that the cheap and made from the sweetheart of Hong Kong China sometimes they hold up sometimes it don't it's pretty normal so yeah it's fine

Just basically so the laser has a lot bigger battery capacity

- the laser will last much longer before battery replacement is needed - AAA alkaline or rechargeable batteries are much better for the environment compared to button batteries Tons of people buy these lasers as cat toys - lots of people search for them powered by AA or AAA batteries but no one seems to manufacture this.

cool mod but theres no reason to do this with that laser its better to just buy the parts for a stronger laser bc a mod like this will likely burn up your laser
