Many thanks for another amazing video. When Rupert mentions about touching the screen, it reminds me of the Stanley Kubrick film, '2001: A Space Odessey', where the characters touch the oblisk which is flat and resembles a screen. Once touched, they are forever changed and the next stage of evolution occurs.

What Rupert says is absolutely true and needed. The problem is it takes a highly advanced person to teach it and there is so few qualified to do so. Just presenting the information isn't enough. The messenger is just---if not more important--- to the newbie.

6:26: Einstein said 'Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen." The evidence of the senses are just prejudices. We have the look at the nature of the one that knows the senses. Unless we know the nature of the knower, nothing true about the known can be known. 25:24: Foundations of reality become shaky: all of our experience is made of the knowing of it (awareness). 26:40: The movie / screen analogy. going towards the nature of knowing. 28:30: The steps towards the screen and we realise that we are that knowing. I am the knowing out of which all is made. All there is is the self knowing itself, awareness aware of awareness.

All you are aware of, like the table in your room, is made out of Knowing, all matter is Consciousness, is yourself. Even people around you that think different, appear in Awareness ; are in Consciousness your self. No matter, what they say. Mind is matter, is Knowing, is Awareness. They point you to your freedom. Amazing Grace 💎

@@alanneachell9092 so true, if I hit my knee on the table that is only awareness, the pain must be also Awareness, this is my 'job' to realize that the body is not aware. Although it says otherwise. In nighttime fear of death arises and I don't resist the feeling and great happiness overwhelms me. Stil in daytime people can hurt with their disrespect, and this is a way of dying also. So all I know is gratitude for experiencing What I Am. This work you do and the video 's of Rupert make me bend deep to stand straight. I am so grateful. You are lightening up many souls.. This is what I sing about on my channel, (TheAmbamata) for gratitude. Life is Awareness in beauty.. Thank you💞 🙏🙏🙏

only awareness The words are still a pointing. They are not the real thing. Every one has to see this truth for his or her self. Otherwise it will become a concept or a believe and believes don't liberate. Only experience does. 🙃 But I agree he has a real gift 🙏

Wilma completely agree with you. What i meant was that he speaks or points towards truth so well that one is bound to experience truth. I have heard teachings of many renowned gurus but the way rupert points no body else does at least for me. I bathe in truth every time I listen to him 😇😇

I have a problem with what Rupert is saying about the experience of seeing and hearing as being simply the knowing of it. He asks the participant to touch “the stuff“ that seeing and hearing are “made of.“ The participant can’t point to anything and says they are made out of nothing. Rupert says they are made out of something, but what they are made out of is nothing more than the knowing of the experience. I would suggest, however, that seeing is an activity comprised of the effect that light has on the retina and the passage of that light through the internal mechanisms of the eye to the visual cortex thereby allowing the body to see what the eye is looking at. A similar point can be made about the physiological mechanism of hearing. Seeing and hearing are not made out of the knowing of the experiences of them. They are made out of the physiological organic process that the body is designed to utilize in order to have these experiences. What am I missing?
@alanneachell90923 жыл бұрын
The process you are describing is the concepts we use to categorise the direct experience. We can conceptualise how chocolate is tasted but it won't come anywhere near to the direct experience. Because of our habituation of describing everything, we usually need some guidance in looking in direct experience. The compilation here called investigation via the five senses is such a guidance. 🙏💕
@alanneachell90923 жыл бұрын
The concepts don't need to be gotten rid of, intact they are essential for the furthering of human experience. The problem comes when we believe in concepts as being the only reality. Direct experience is primary, concepts are an attempt to categorise that.

Alan picks bits from different sources on one topic for these (lots of work... thanks, Alan). You can find some of them by going to Rupert's website (rupertspira.com), clicking on "non-duality", "Listen", "all audio." There are lots of freebies. Or buy entire lectures or even entire retreats, or subscriptions (much cheaper when you buy a lot).

I think Rupert has a false idea about scripture. The tree of life is so simple but no one seems to get it. And now as our boundaries crumble around us and everything we took for granted is deemed rediculous and selfish we look back on scripture and see the simple message that was there all along ready to pull us out of our mire at any moment of the past.
