How to upgrade the Thrustmaster Warthog: Buy a virpil base for the joystick.

While the WartHog is a decent HOTAS, Winwing and Virpil have eclipsed them in quality and versatility. Unfortunately Thrustmaster put out this HOTAS years ago and have never made any serious updates to it (except changing one switch Hat for a better one), and increased their price - doubling the original price. You'll find the ball and cup is plastic and will get sticky later, but some good grease will help. I am glad you're enjoying flying and wish you well!

A question: Is WINWING's Orion Warthog better than Trustmaster's Warthog?

I have spent thousands over the years on controls, and I could have saved most of that money if I had just bought Virpil products in the first place. And the added bonus is the feel and accuracy of them. And they are also big on the Right To Repair. As per my name, I play Elite Dangerous. I have well over 7K hrs in game, and all in VR. I can't look at my controls, I have to go by feel. Virpil changed everything for me. The quality, the feel, and the response are leagues above everything else.
