Kapil Shukla, yes this is a big problem or just laziness of people to switch to low beam.. they r educated and know the impact of high beam on someone coming from opposite direction. But they think it a hard work to switch the beam which leads to inconvenience and accidents too.. I personally see many keep going on high beam, and once I give them dipper then they switch to low beam.. But we should be at safe side.. Drive safe, slow and responsibly..🙂🙂

Absolutely, highbeam highway ke liye sahi hai. Jab city mey chala raheho tho low beam visibility ke liye kafi hai. Bohot se, almost 85% log ko iski samaj nahi hai.

@@syed_illiaz The light color is more important. You can use 100w halogen or 35w warm white HIDs and you will have decent low speed visibility. But a 100w pure white HID will be useless in rain and fog. For best visibility in rain and fog, use yellow (3500k) HID or yellow halogen fog lamps.

@@syed_illiaz You can only upgrade within limits of the battery load. Jumping from 35W to 100W will definitely disturb the factory calculations when they setup your car electricals and determined battery specifications. Your car uses battery for all lightings and not just the headlight.

Thanks for your genuine thought and the message. This is indeed true, I upgraded to the same LED light shown in your video but practically didn't get much of difference in light. Also due to this in rainy season it is really very poor visibility as the light spreads and is not focussed and I had met with a horrible accident as I couldn't identify a stone in front of my bike one rainy night and fell very hard crushing my bones. I realised my mistake after a painful accident and surgery. Please - You all don't fall for this. Yellow colour is more visible to oncoming traffic and it reflects well on the road so even you get better visibility. White light is of no use in day and in night it doesn't reflect well for you to see well. Dear all who are reading my comment, pls pls be very careful with any sort of modifications to your vehicle, you would not know and it can risk yours and as well as others life on the road. Please respect the manufacturers design of your vehicle, these are done after a lot of research, and we would not be aware of the ill affects of any modifications done. Thanks. God bless you all

I have been using Nighteye Led headlamps in NS 200. I see vast difference in intensity from halogens.. You just have to align it with your refelctor properly so that it gives maximum output..

Hi Gagan! Thank you for taking up this issue. As someone who’s been overlanding on 2/4 wheelers for the last 32 yrs, i have found the recent LED upgrade mania a big and dangerous nuisance. Upgraded halogens (of manufacturer’s prescribed wattage) from Philips/Osram work far better and sharpens the contrast, thereby improving the dimensional perception. The blue in LED light tend to dazzle because of the colour spectrum/frequency and flattens the driver’s vision by impacting the depth of field (especially in rain/snow) and also blinds the oncoming traffic. Maybe you should think of doing an episode explaining why physics of colour spectrum and vision - in other words, why blue(ish) light of LED behaves this way. Perhaps LED bulb makers should offer choice of warm/daylight LED bulbs just like in household bulbs. Cheers!

Whatever you explained is correct, but i will highlight a point that LED do help a lot incase of light spread/intensity. I did replaced factory halogene bulb from my car to LED of 10000 lumens. It helped to see the road better compared to halogene bulbs. Comming to the point of illegal? No its not. While upgrading you vehicle to LED headlights make sure you change your vehicle Halogen headlight reflector to LED headlight reflector. While installing the LED we need to keep in mind of the beam angle. For better measurement get it installed from some professional service center, they have a beam angle chart and they will adjust the beam angle accordingly. Using LED is completely legal as far as you follow the guidelines of using it.

I am sorry to say that your opinion is based on a particular model of headlight . The specific model which you had portrayed is based on COB led rather than discrete component based led thats why its so cheap . If i compare luminosity of halogen vs led then halogen produces about 18-24 lumens per watt whereas led produces about 80-100 lumens per watt and even more . And measuring lumens with a mobile is never a good approach , you should have measured the same with a properly calibrated lux meter with some proper background rather than measuring it in open space . Next led headlights manufactured by some good companies and even some products from novsight has some good design which imitate a halogen headlamp by throwing light horizontally towards the reflector . I believe you had not properly aligned your headlight and light must be not projected in a horizontal fashion . May be you could have aligned the light properly before coming to a conclusion . Next is the choice of led .. Led based out of Cree,Philips luxeon has far more lumen output than the chinese and korean counterpart . I agree to the point that if we put a led in a normal reflector , the scattering will be more and its always recommended to use leds with purpose built reflector or a projector . And finally i dont see any motor vehicle act(cmrv1989) which says led headlight as illegal .. but there is a point that the headlight should not be at a height of more than 1.5 metre and it should not dazzle the oncoming traffic . Dazzling effect can be reduced by driving at low beam and use a light with a color temperature between 4000 -5500k . Any higher rating kelvin will make the light bluish which is the case with the new activa 5g , bluish light but still approved by motor vehicle act . Note : I have been using led headlight from Philips Luxeon Zes and XHP50 from cree with far superior light from my Osram Nightbreaker and Philips extreme power 65 watt lamp . I would say the light output is almost triple than my earlier setup . And this is all based out of halogen reflector . I always drive at low beam in city and high beam is used in the highway . Well if you are based out of bangalore I can show you a demo .

LED's reflect the raindrops when it's heavily raining and can impede your vision, so it's better to stick up with the custom lights provided to your vehicle. Lights hazaar laga sakte ho lekin jaan toh ek hi hai.

Information is not complete. Here is the clarification:- 1) There are led bulbs which will give 360 degrees light. There is a lens on the chip. So they will give focus like regular bulbs 2) Depending on the price there are leds in market with higher lumen output. In fact much higher than halogen bulbs. Example - csp chips from philips, xhp series of chips from Cree 3) Agreed the part that better to use low beam as and when possible

LEDs have many advantages over traditional halogens but you missed them. 1-more than 15 times life span..which means you don't need to change it in saveral years..( Low labour and replacement cost) 2-energy efficient.. Which means more battery life. 3-Better colour/object rendering-u can easily identify even a small object/breaker or ditches 4-can work on low battery voltage 5-fast switching for others safety 6-No UV rays and environmentally safe 7-180 deg emission over 360 deg emission 8-If R-R unit is not efficiently working then surely go for LEDs coz u cannot find RR unit for older version of vehicles that easily(not even in the showrooms) and duplicate units does not work that efficiently. 3 yrs ago on my 4.5 yr old Avenger 150 street i upgrade to aftermarket projector LER headlamp. It works great in city in clear weather the moment it starts raining or foggy condition it doesn't help. Infact i have installed an off switch for this light since its low beam projector led headlamp is very bright. I don't want to disturb oncoming traffic. But niw definetly going to fix auxiliary light only to used for fog/rain. Thank you for making this video.

Chirag NAAGAR people are dumb and don't care about others dude. I set high beam on low level so that when someone hits high beam on me, i give my high beam on their face. It troubles me as the low beam is so near that I can't see far but it gives a lesson when I use high beam on their shitty faces

I have a car with reflector head lamp. One is not working so searching for good option including LED light and trust me didn't find anywhere this information except here. Really all videos on these channels are geniune.
