Upgrading to Windows Server 2008 R2 from Windows 7. Is it possible?

Can i do this on Windows Server 2008 R1 (a.k.a Windows Server 2008) the server version of Windows Vista?

Wow, I've got to try this on one on my production systems (of course will make a backup first :) ) I always hated Windows 7 on there, since that was a RAID setup (using Intel Rapid Storage Tehnology), separate DNS Server and IIS running there, but never had a courage to try it out, now when CMOS Battery died and I had to fix it, I see no harm in trying this Although, I wanted to upgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate, to Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter edittion Do you know how to remove all left over windows 7 features, so this will be a virgin server with (desktop expirience (can't live without AERO :) ) also did you notice anything not working? Can u share ur iso u used?

Windows Server 2008 R2 is the server version of Windows 7, i am correct!
