Installing Windows 11 using Windows 7 installer!

In this video I'll try to install Windows 11 while booting from a Windows 7 image. Let's see how it goes!

The Windows installer has been largely unchanged since the one that came with Vista. Vista as a whole is really the cornerstone of all modem Windows OS's; the underlying structure is pretty much the same. Windows 11 still has many remnants of Vista embedded, like Windows Fax and Scan.....pulled straight from Vista.

True. Modern releases of Windows are just modern versions of 8, which is a modern version of vista.

That's not how it works, unfortunately. However, 32-bit Windows 10 might be able to be distinguished by Windows 11, but the chances are small

Nice! Also, you can disable system sound recording in OBS because the sounds of folders and files in Win7 are good but kind of disrupts added music.

What happens if you try to upgrade directly from Vista to 11 using Windows 7 installer ?

You don't actually install Windows versions from Vista to 11 anymore. You just apply the preinstalled wim file using DISM that is basically integrated with the installer.

It requires some registry modifications being performed from WinPE and I didn't remember how to do that (I was too lazy to check some of his videos)

@@SevoosChannel yeh all windows operating systems after xp can read .wim files but if you tried this with windows vista it wouldn't boot without csm on a real computer because vista doesn't have "official" uefi support

It doesn't work like that - that requirement isn't artificial, 24H2 won't be able to run without it
