In this episode I continue to use the Nassimi Storm material and adhesive I got from PerfectFIT to coat the blank Adventure Wagon Panels for installation on my A-Frame interior kit at Just Roaming Design in Portland, Oregon. This episode has me working on some of the more complex shapes, figuring it out along the way. Having experience with design and model building you could use recycled paper rolls which come in 100', 300'', 600'+ (or newspaper, magazines) to lay over your work area. Once one panel is finished pull out a new sheet to length and you'll have a clean surface to work with each time.

That would have worked better. Makes sense. I feel like I wasted a lot of scrap. Just glad I had scrap to waste.

@@JaYoeNation I just read that spraying (bottle) hot water on the fabric helps with forming. Also "Upholstery Tips How to Mold a car carpet? basic Upholstery tutorial" in youtube, this guy is a professional fabric installer.

I came here to mention that, I used old rolls of wallpaper we had lying about at work as well as newspapers when I built out my van. Cracking job you done though.

This video reminds me of doing UV maping and texturing for 3D models. I really like how you hid the seam by folding over the fabric, same thing is done in 3D modeling to hide seams.

What about putting masking tape over the plastic board that you are using to catch the overspray and then re-taping each time rather than using a new board?
@JaYoeNation10 ай бұрын
those were all scrap boards... they were going to the trash anyway... so it was fine.

The flow of the lines in your material looks perfect on the panels. I think the decision to use a single piece on the headliner was a good one. You must be itching to finish it soon...

When people search for how to upholster curved pieces, they find your video but then you spend 20 minutes talking about your life, your errands your projects and who you are. I had to stop watching because I couldn't find a relevant piece of information. Your videos could really be more concise and to the point I think it would greatly help your channel.

You could have at least put a plastic or a piece of woodgard as you spray it so that the extra glue goes up onto that guard and not until your work surface

Years? A year so far, I think. And Anny is coming to America with his daughter sometime in the near future, as far as I know. He has a seat in the van specially picked out for Eva. But somehow, I get the feeling you don't really give a fuck about any of that...
