Thank You for the positive comment. After 3 years using this Landau Top & Trim HHR amzn.to/3YckfOe everything has held up well. When I ran out of that I used 3M spray contact cement on two trim pieces, and it failed in less than a year. So I purchased another gallon of the Landau HHR adhesive. Did not want to do that, because of the cost, but I know it works. Also, if your Van building you can see all my videos divided by category at thefrugalfactor.com/

Brilliant. Simplest and best way to do those corners, works like a charm!

HI FF I think the little bump where the screw hole is was a blessing in disguise. Spent 2 hrs faffing about last week trying to get a panel back into pre-existing holes in the van wall, needed x-ray vision.

A roller is the go for applying the adhesive!

At first I used a sprayer. When I was not happy with those results, I used a roller. The roller was messy, because the contact adhesive dried quickly. Using a small roller tray waisted more of the adhesive. Brushes were easier to use and much cheaper. If you had the proper equipment and settings, a sprayer should work. But, I have seen panels done by professionals on boats that failed to hold their bond because of a low coverage of the sprayed adhesive.

@@FrugalFactor Hi, I do this all the time, vinyling, and have used spray on adhesive with not much luck. I used brushes also but too slow and inconsistent spreading of the adhesive but the roller with the glue correctly thinned and the correct amount, poured into the correct sized tray for a 6" inch roller to minimize waste has worked best for me over the years. Also I don't use contact adhesive, I use a special bonding contact glue which I thin to the correct viscosity for a quick and even spread....I use brushes for the edges. BTW, that's a pretty good corner technique you used, I just stretch the vinyl to pull all the joins to the other side so you can't see them. Cheers!

If you use barge it will never fail. It’s used to make shoes. Nasty stuff and somewhat pricey but worth it.

Thanks for sharing the product and techniques. I plan to use the same product for my wall panels and ceilings when I get my van delivered hopefully in Feb. I wonder how much contact cement should I buy?

Good question I went through 2 gallons of Weldwood HHR Contact Cement amzn.to/3ehiCvt it expensive and evaporates quickly. But it is the best cement to use. At the end of the project on a few small trim pieces around the oven I used some 3m 90 spray adhesive, and four or five months later it failed and I noticed the vinyl was loose. So I recommend the Weldwood HHR and of course doing this outside, and with a ventilator mask.

I thinking of wrapping a tongue and groove ceiling..for a van build. I may be making a rod for my back methinks….might be too ambitious? I was thinking of wrapping each board individually

That's more work that I would do. Panels are simpler and easy to remove if needed.

Thanks for the helpful video! Do you have a link for the material you used instead of foam?

Its headliner material like this amzn.to/429ndEC I got a clearance deal locally at a place like joann's or hobby lobby. Other links are in the video description.
