She is obviously intelligent and well articulated and having a very good thought process. But with all due respect, India did not develop (economically) much under her government. She could not have good diplomatic relations with US (being a non aligned country, India should have managed good relations with both US and USSR) Simla Agreement, Emergency, and mishandling of Khalistan movement were another few blunders.

Mrs Indira Gandhi was a strong leader no doubt. But all the ills our motherland suffer now originated by her govt. And pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid foundation for parliamentary democracy in India, no doubt. But he committed many wrongs just to safeguard krishna Menon and to safeguard his own PM chair. Also he was a lier in political and personal life.
