Seeing how spray works in anything but perfect conditions.. that would still hit a lot of crop. Would be very interesting to see the same plot in a week or two.

Hi Olly,I like the idea of targeting individual weeds but unless your sprayer can mix small amounts on demand how are you supposed to know how much to mix up?
@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer5 ай бұрын
That’s what I said
@BilberryAgri5 ай бұрын
For the long term users of Bilberry systems, they find that they get a good feel for how much to mix after the first pass of the season. Bilberry also provides weed maps which can be generated whether you are spot spraying or blanket spraying. These maps give users an idea on weed coverage so they know how much to mix for the next use.

If it’s only spraying weeds how do you know how much chemical and water to put in the tank to do the field ?
@BilberryAgri5 ай бұрын
This is something that users learn to get a feel for after the first use of the system. Generally speaking, Bilberry users are spraying earlier in the season before weeds have a chance to grow and spread, which means users will not need to fill a full tank for a given session. The use of weed maps and the data that Bilberry provides users, also helps to guide them with how much chemical to mix before a session.

Yes, John Deere has their See and Spray solution which is mainly focused on Green on Brown applications. The Bilberry technology is available on many brands and models, and can do Green on Green as shown in this video and our others on our channel. Most Green on Green systems are fitted to Self Propelled sprayers.

This is something that users learn to adapt to as they use the system more and more. Bilberry also provides data on through our usage reports including weed maps which are useful in predicting how much chemical to put in the tank. Hope this helps

Isn’t that basically the same as John Deere see and spray ?

Bilberry is similar to see and spray, however Bilberry has a far larger range of available applications, compared to Deere which is focused on crops such as corn and cotton in the US specifically. What crops would you use this type of technology in?

Where does the technology end. Soon be there will be no need for a human
@BilberryAgri5 ай бұрын
The Bilberry technology certainly doesn't remove the need for a worker to be involved in spraying. Instead it gives them a new tool which dramatically reduces the interactions that the user has with chemicals due to the reduced usage, and it also reduces the amount of chemicals that us as the end consumers of the crop as food have on a dramatic level. Better health for the farmer, the environment and for the end consumer.
