Used to love doing the ditches on a farm I used to work on. They hadn't been done in many years. Sadly I was told to stop when I flooded the newly built houses because the builders wouldn't clear the ditches on their side

Johns, done a cracking job doing that ditch it should fairly help that field I’ve been to Hull this morning it’s been a lovely day today The grain over there is varied some fields are all right some are like the ones round here water stood all over especially the headlands but at least they’ve some winter sown crops get a bit of dry weather and some fert on they’ll look alright feeling 95% today and Olly anther superb video

We are just east of hull and I can assure you we have a good selection of awful fields around us. Tried cultivating to start drying land for spring barley and it doesn't look promising, it's then rained again tonight. 🤦

Waiting for rain here in Victoria Australia. Olly you mentioned rice. Just being watching Farmer JB Australia, a crop and sheep Farmer in southern NSW Australia. He is about to harvest rice, and is currently draining the rice prior to harvesting. Maybe you need more water ?.🇦🇺

Tell rob to stop in by Dornoch and then head to loch fleet to see the seals on the way to Golspie (Dornoch had the best beach in the UK) + Madonna got married in the church. Golspie has the best chipper if he’s hungry, big burn walk in Golspie is a must. This is a staycation pilgrimage for me and my family every year

Maintaining the hedges and ditches should be the top job to think about on the farm, those fields wouldn't have been half as wet as they are.

About 75/80% Olly, I’m a agricultural fencer and I’m totally fed up with the weather and I know we shouldn’t keep talking about it but as we are in it all the time it’s very hard not too. On the plus side it’s a good time to wash kit as it’s easier when it’s already wet 😄🍻👏🏻

How good would it be if many other farmers were incentivised to do such things on a grander scale (hopefully avoiding jail time) and perhaps paid handsomely to do so. 95%!! On hols in Yorkshire from home in Canada!! Glad I’m not farming in UK any more with all this rain - we’ve come from London to Oxfordshire, across to Lincoln, up through the Wolds and Northumberland, past Edinburgh to North of Perth, down to Dumfries, through the Lakes and to Harrogate in the last week and everywhere looks wet, or worse. One reason we left was because of increasingly wet years, but that was 2000. Can only hope things dry up for you. Back home its currently snowing, +2C, but -12C and snow forecast tonight - its time it warmed up!!
