This is all very useful information and Essential when starting your podcast... when we started out a year ago, apple podcasts were our main source for downloads, and got us onto many of the smaller libraries as explained in this video..... But, a year later we get 70% of our downloads from Spotify and only 13% from apple! With the most popular device being Android.... Just saying... Don't think apple podcasts is the One Stop place to put your podcast! Spend some time setting up all the directories you can!

That sounds awesome! Happy to hear that your podcast has gained significant traction on Spotify. And indeed, diversifying your podcast distribution across various directories can certainly maximize your reach.

Wow, Apple Podcasts really is the go-to place for getting your podcast out there, and your guide here breaks it all down so clearly! 🍏🎙 Now, for a fun question: If you had to choose one unusual category for your dream podcast, what would it be, and what would the first episode be about? 🤔🎧

Your guide to getting your podcast listed on Apple Podcasts is incredibly helpful and straightforward! 😄 I'm curious, though - once you've got your podcast listed, what's your favorite part of the podcasting process? Do you enjoy creating content, engaging with listeners, or something else entirely? 🎙🤔

This is nice, but if you have a video podcast, you don't support that yet. Is there a timeline on supporting video podcasts to these platforms?

Hey there, Walter! We don't have a specific timeline yet, but we’re always evaluating new features based on user feedback. Stay tuned for updates!

With using the RSS feed, do you still have to upload each episode to apple podcast? Maybe Im doing something wrong but I feel like I have to upload the episode to three different places instead of it a sense "populating" on the directories that Ive selected.
@Buzzsprout27 күн бұрын
Hi Lyn! Using an RSS feed should save you time. Once you’ve set it up and submitted it to Apple Podcasts, your episodes will automatically update across the directories you’ve connected. You only need to upload your episodes to your podcast host, and from there, the RSS feed takes care of distributing them. If it feels like you’re uploading episodes to multiple places, it might be worth double-checking that your RSS feed is properly linked to all the directories you’re using. This should streamline everything for you. Hope this helps! If you have any other concerns/questions, shoot us an email at support@buzzsprout.com.

I have a quick question. So i don't have any divice in Apple. I am in Android and my laptop is in PC, so i creted my apple ID but i can't do anything to submit my podcast. I need to put my card info in payment and here is my question i will not get charged when i out my card info and then am i will be able to put my podcast?
@Buzzsprout8 ай бұрын
Hey Maria! Great question! Signing up and submitting your podcast to Apple through Apple Podcasts Connect is free. However, for additional perks like premium subscriptions, there's an annual fee.
@mariasokolova81348 ай бұрын
@@Buzzsprout So if I understand correctly from your response which by the way thank you for that, I can submit my dates from my credit card and I will not be charged with anything when I submit my podcast and later when I put my other episodes through my podcast host I will not be charged right? And if I like premium perks which I don't know what mean, can you explain it to me. because English is not my native language and sometimes I don't understand all things. And if I like these premium perks then I will be charged an annual fee. But unless I do that thing with the perks, I will not be harder than Apple with an annual fee for my podcast, right? I just need a simple explanation. sorry if my question/questions are long and maybe stupid, but really English is not my native language and for my first question to which you respond, I need to be sure 100% that I will not get charged from Apple when I put my card data in order to fully activate my Apple ID? Thank you for responding to me and taking the time to do that. I appreciate it.

Soooo, I have an intro and and outro to include on my submission. How does that work? I'm not tech savvy at all lol! Is there a specific spot where I can add my MP3 intro file, then my MP3 interview file, then my MP3 outro file to make the episode? Or do I have to have that complete through say GarageBand before I upload it? It would be something I'd use for every podcast and obviously, each week has a different interview to feature but the intro and the outro stay the same. Help please lol!
@Buzzsprout Жыл бұрын
Hi there! If you’re not using a specific podcast host that allows you to add these separately, you might need to combine these files to any of your preferred audio editing software into a new mp3 file before uploading. Most podcast hosting companies allow you to upload your intro, interview, and outro files individually. Feel free to email us at support@buzzsprout.com. We'll be happy to help!

I have a question. I'm using Spotify for Podcasters to warehouse the sound files. Once I put in the RSS feed on Apple, will it AUTOMATICALLY upload my content from Spotify? Or do I have to go back and forth and manually add new episodes to Apple (after I've already uploaded them to Spotify for Podcasters)?

Do we need to do anything for the RSS feed ownership verification with our email?
@Buzzsprout11 ай бұрын
Great question! For RSS feed ownership verification with your email, Apple Podcasts may require you to verify your email address during the podcast submission process. This step ensures you're the owner of the podcast you're submitting. If you're using Buzzsprout, this verification is straightforward and part of the setup process when you publish your podcast. I hope that helps! 😊
