What happens to the original files in public_html which was zipped before uploading the website. Since I had configured WP before upload, the WP files may also have gone to the zipped file. Do I unzipp or install WP again.

Hi Bro, I have my .HTML, .CSS and my Logo file on the document folder of my computer, however , my web page is displaying the "Index of/" files that I extracted into the public_html folder instead of showing my web site. I have a simple html web file with the company logo and a few text along with the .css file. I did ran the html to test if my code works correctly using "Komode". What have i done wrong?

Faced same problem. I corrected the permission of all folders and files of new upload to 755 and it started working. Hope it works for you.

Thank you very much! This is is very well done and I have learnt some very informative information here! You have made it easy to understand. But please tell me. I have noticed that when uploading files using filemanager, there is no option to upload the files in ASCII format. As l understand (if I am at all correct), transferring in ASCII format is used so that some of the data does not end up corrupted on the server after the initial upload because the files is transferred from a Windows computer to a Linux server, for example. So I would like to know what alternatives are there to getting the same results as uploading in ASCII format? Should I just upload the files in a zip folder and extract afterwards (would that work?) or are there any other alternatives to uploading in ASCII format in file manager? I am asking because what if the file you wish to upload, must be uploaded in ASCII format? Please advise. Thanks so much for your advice.

I dont have a lot of experience with ASCII files but what's worked for me has been uploading a zip file then extracting it. It works with all sorts of problematic files.

Deleting unnecessary files on the file manager and clearing the .trash folder located on the home directory should clear enough disk usage for you. Always make sure you back up before you make any deletions. Thank me later... :-)

You would add a page by creating a new HTML document ( a file with the extension .html) then add it to the Public HTML in your cPanel. hope this helps.

Hi Pooja. It's likely that the folder is either hidden or deleted. Try creating a folder and call it public_html this folder should work as described in the video.

This may mean that you did not upload the content on the public_html or that you unzipped the file to a folder and that is what is now seen.
