Great video! I’m planning on doing my 06 sprinter. I kind of liked the butter. I bought the stock grey green on Amazon. I will do my best to make sure I really love it before doing my whole bus. Thanks for sharing.

@@ProjectJolene -So last evening I learned that the tint I bought on Amazon is NOT returnable. $500+ of tint I’m not sure is correct. THe moral to this story is to a) check on return policies BEFORE buying, and b) if you are buying from that seller, only buy one $25 bottle before ordering all of your tint. I have reached out to the seller for some way to correct my mistake, but I’m not very optimistic.

Best to take tape off when paint is still a bit wet, otherwise it can flake at edges if you take off when dry

Nice. No, got 2k paint from local auto paint shop which you can mix into tintable raptor. Recommend using the 2k paint which takes a separate hardener as it had a nice tough finish. And sure! Where are you based? Haha

What compressor did use. Also the gun you mentioned. Good blog on painting

Just like 100L compressor, or else a 50L compressor is good. The gun is variable nozzle gun that Upol Raptor sells - it’s more expensive than the basic one but it’s way better

Actually not sure! We mixed it in the paint shop by eye, it’s like a charcoal / gunmetal gray - almost black but not quite :)

No we tried it first time and it didn’t really work so skipped it next time and just roughed up the plastics with sandpaper instead

Great walkthrough thanks! Will go with liner too on my 144wb sprinter. Wondering how of a pain was it to sand the first raptor paint and paint over with raptor? Did you sand all of the surface or just sprayed over? Im not sure i got that in the video. Cheers!

Hey Tony! The original raptor we didn’t sand it off. Paint shop said we didn’t need to, just cleaned it down and did another coat of the new colour on top

Hey Joe! Yes stock wheels. The tyres are the biggest you can fit on stock rims without lots of running. They rub a tiny bit at full lock but doesn’t bother us. BFGoodrich ALL Terrain T/A KO2 245/75 R16
