I have never skied Snowbowl and would love to try it. To ski the Upper Bowl, is it necessary to have a complete set of avalanche tools? (beacon, shovel, probe, etc.)

Nah there’s usually more people in the winter time and it’s packed powder

Not necessarily required but I do recommend bringing it if you got it.

I skied at ax snowbowl when I was 12. Greens and blues are pretty easy but if u want to go farther up may may need to hike it.

How long did it take you to hike up?

Probably about 20-30 minutes. Just kinda depends on crowds and how packed the path is.
