Upper Mamring is a quaint hamlet nestled within Sittong II GP in Kurseong Block, Darjeeling District. It is often overlooked by tourists, yet I discovered its stunning beauty during the rainy season. In spring, the village blooms with vibrant flowers. The road leading from Bagora is adorned with Dhupi trees that cast a mystical fog, characteristic of the atmosphere in the Darjeeling hills.
Visitors staying in Sittong should consider exploring this charming village at least once. Personally, I adore its tranquil vibe. From here, you can also journey to Jogighat, renowned for its scenic Riyang riverbank.

👉 1) How to Reach Upper Mamring:
From Siliguri one can reserve a car for Upper Mamring, which will cost Rs.3500- 4500/- .
2) By bus from Siliguri Tenjing Norgey Bus terminus (Siliguri Junction) to Delaram or Kurseong, will cost Rs.100/- per person. After reaching Kurseong or Dilaram, Book a car for Upper Mamring, it will cost Rs.1000/- to Rs.1200/- or you may avail a share cab from Kurseong which will cost Rs.120/- per person. (Share cab available from Kurseong for Upper Mamring till 2.00 PM.)
👉 Distance:- From Siliguri Junction to Delaram:- 44 km and Delaram to Upper Mamring:- 08 Km. From Kurseong to Upper Mamring 17 Km.
