My hometown. I moved from Uppsala 20 years ago and I haven't been there since 15 years ago. Thank you very much for uploading this video. I hope to move back to Uppsala for good very soon.

Uppsala. Nice mid-sized town 15 minutes with train from Swedens main international airport, and 30 minutes with express train to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

Very nice walk through Uppsala. Uppsala is a beautiful city with a rich history and many attractions, such as the cathedral and the Linnaeus heritage. On top of that, the city offers great quality of life for its habitants.

After seeing the video I don’t have a clear opinion or wiew about Uppsala. Maybe it's nice ... or a little weird and peculiar city?
@poptravelorg5 жыл бұрын
When visiting Stockholm it was an easy short train ride away before my flight that day (around 45' from Stockholm Central). I left my luggage at the Uppsala station and had less than an hour to check it out before catching yet another train to Stockholm Arlanda airport (25'). In summer I hope to check out the other bigger cities in Sweden - besides Stockholm again

Uppsala is a rather big city but with small city feel due to no tall buildings which is not allowed to build, characterized by its many students. The city center is nothing special and does not stand out even compared to smaller cities, however all the historical buildings and the largest cathedral in Scandinavia can compete with the larger cities. There are also many nice parks and recreational areas in and around the city.
@LuceLaska4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, this captures Uppsala fairly well. There's an old part and a new part. One is a little more like a city, one is centered around what I think is the biggest cathedral in Scandinavia (it's gorgeous in person). Uppsala is particularly famous for Carl Linnaeus, who you may recognize as the person who invented the classification system for biology. The garden that you see from the castle has ties to his research and there is a personal garden and summer home belonging to him that you can do tours of in Uppsala as well. In the cathedral, many famous people are buried there, including Linnaeus and royalty. There is also a treasurey of religious items in the cathedral, as well as the clothing of the Stures who were ordered to be executed by King Erik - preserved with stab wounds and all. Outside of the city is a museum of old Uppsala before it was moved to its present location. You can see some Viking burial mounds there. All in all, Uppsala is quirky and, like most of Sweden, sparsely populated. It is, however, steeped in history, culture, and random surprises.

I think I explained it in other comments. That video was done in connection with short trip to Stockholm. The last day I decided to go to Uppsala before my flight. In the end I was a bit short on time and had to catch my train to the Stockholm Arlanda airport. A bit stressful though I'm happy I went
